Oh this requires DX11 now? Well i'm glad I read that before I wasted the time putting it on my laptop too.

Remastering a game with such a drastic requirement change is a bit of a kick in the teeth, porting to the Xbox One likely required them to change it over to DX11.
If anyone's wondering what changed between the original and the EE, there's a comprehensive list on the Larian forums.

Be aware that it DOES contain spoilers if you haven't played the original.

Wait, I can't get the Source Hunter DLC anymore? I was going to buy it this weekend after I got paid to celebrate.. WTH Larian?! I mean I think the new changes are awesome, but I wanted to finish my old game without starting over again. Dammit!!

AFAIK the Source Hunter DLC is part the base game in the EE, so it doesn't make much sense to keep selling it for the original version; it wouldn't help you in any case since you'd have to start a new game after installing it to make the trunks/chalice appear.

Nithorias: I'm having a problem with the game. I have installed the game 2 times now and every time I try to play it says: The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. What the heck is going on? lol

shade: Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package that came with the game (\Divinity - Original Sin Enhanced Edition\__redist\MSVC2013\vcredist_x64.exe)
Thank you so much, it works! :D

dizzy_plays: Questions for any Staff members:

I have a D:OS Kickstarter reward in the form of a D:OS digital copy that I have not yet claimed (I haven't even generated a GOG code for it, I haven't claimed it from the Larian Vault site). When I will claim it I will select GOG delivery which will generate a GOG code. Then I will activate it on GOG. My questions are:
- what version will that give me, will it give me the D:OS original? I assume so
- if so, will I also get the EE version added to my library at some point? I assume I should
All unclaimed KS backer codes with give both D:OS and D:OS EE upon redeem.
HI
in my library is still the original game , how i get the EE ? sorry for asking but i cant find it out on myself

3 things:

1) What is included is the in-game portion of the DLC. Not the extras (artbook, design notes, soundtrack).
2) The in-game content that is included applies only to the enhanced edition and not the original version.
3) There is no option to upgrade to the version that offers the extras, as it used to be.

zack3d: Still no multiplayer support? Are you kidding me?

ShadowOwl: What are you talking about?
No online support. No multiplayer lobby. Only direct connect and LAN.

Here's the official update from Larian Studios' Kickstarter page:
We’ve been secretly working on supporting GOG Galaxy, the new sexy online multiplayer platform from GOG.com and are happy to announce that full GOG Galaxy integration will be available for Divinity:Original Sin.

GOG is still working on launching Galaxy, so before that happens, our Kickstarter backers who have selected GOG.com as the digital distribution platform will be able to use Direct IP or LAN options to play in multiplayer. Once GOG Galaxy launches (by the end of August, the folks at GOG tell us), they will be able to take advantage of all the features this DRM-free online gaming platform offers.
Ok, we have no Galaxy support, neither for the original version or for the EE. Will Larian provide a patch for the Galaxy support? It's not only the achievements, but also the direct cross-plattform multiplayer is part of the "full GOG Galaxy integration". Just a broken promise?

Direct connect?
What exactly is it if not online?
Good. :)

Grargar: And no Mac version, either. From a post of theirs on Steam, they are planning both for December.

1. Where is the MAC version?

The Mac/Steam/Linux versions of Divinity:Original Sin Enhanced Edition are coming in December 2015.
I've pretty much given up on Larian at this point.

It's a pretty shitty deal that 16 months after the game was released, they have now supported two platforms that didn't even exist at the time of the kickstarter campaign (xbone, ps4), and still haven't released the Linux version that was promised in the campaign.
Should anyone have a KS key and for whatever reason is not interested in redeeming it him/herself, I'm willing to trade for it. ;)
