Reminds me of HuniePop, but with completely different stuff in every component of the game. Bought

Lone_Scout: Reminds me of HuniePop.
So instead of anime waifus I get to romance hunky G-men that may or may not be possessed? Where do I sign up? ;)
So great that this is here now! Purchased without hesitation :)
Terrific game. Insta-bought.
The game is in my scope, but I'll wait for hardware upgrade. I heard that optimization is not so good and it would be nice to experience the game in its full glory (with ray tracing on). I'm waiting for the release of RTX 3060. :)

The weird release time aside (it didn't occur to me to check GOG at midnight), it's nice to see how things could work without stress or temptation to buy at theotherstore. You announce a game I'm interested in, I rob a bank or two to secure funding. Then instabuy as soon as I learn it's out - and now it's waiting on my home computer for when I get back from work.

kud13: I though tthis was supposed to be out tomorrow? lol

Anyways, that's a no-brainer buy.

Now, let's get Quantum Break here to complete Remedy's freaky supernatural games' lineup.

nightcraw1er.488: Whilst I am in favour of getting quantum break here, it’s a good game of short. There may be some issues. That game had scenes which streamed in depending on decisions made. I believe the offline copy of that makes the total download some 100gb. How this would work here I don’t know, it could be galaxy only for the streaming but that is not within the drm free portion, and providing full download may break their bandwidth. So I don’t expect to se this right now.
Are you sure that the streaming videos changed depending on your decisions? I am quite sure that they are always the same. But agreed to what you said. Remedy constantly refused to offer a downloadable stream here. Afaik it is only available for consoles right now.

They improved a lot regarding optimization with the latest patches. Also, while raytracing of course improves the look of the game quite a lot (and also costs a lot of performance) the difference between regular high and low settings are remarkable subtle. Watched some comparision videos and most of the comments stated as well that the difference is hard to notice - with one exception: the reflections. If you turn those off it will reduce the look of the game quite a lot. Right now I am playing the game with a 1060GTX/6GB in 55-60fps with reflections on medium. Looks and plays great.

To those who fear that the game could be too hard for them. With the last patch Remedy introduced some several optional help options in the main menu so that the game can be played by everone.

One last addition: the German localisation has really bad lip syncing (and most of the VO also does not sound very good). So if you want to play in German I really recommend to play with English audio and German subs instead of German audio.

Instabuy!
Thank you GOG for adding this game to your expanding library of DRM-free games.
Too high system requirements . ( at least for me )

Niggles: My only concern (yeah 26GB ...oh well) is whether this will run on a below spec machine? (i5 2500 + 1050ti card)
Should run fine on low-medium settings but i hope you have at least 8GB of RAM.

Yes, after each chapter you choose an outcome and a different episode plays. Least that’s how I understand it as only played once. Good game, though can’t help calling the lead Jacobi!

Don't quote me on that but isn't the main issue with Quantum Break that Remedy doesn't own the rights but Microsoft own them instead or something like that ?

Also in the worse case 100Gb is not "that" impressive nowadays, they could always have different movie packs available for download with a smaller resolution for those who don't want to download 100Gb at once.

You still have to download the Epic client. You can't download directly from your browser. So i wouldn't call it DRM free. Especially with the problems Epic has with user accounts and your personal information, installing the Epic client is a big NO NO for me. GOG is a European company that abides by European consumer protection laws and data protection laws(this is an extra bonus onto of everything else that GOG is and GOG does), so it is always best to buy your games from here IMO.

you may not like the client and epic, and that's fair enoguh, but it does not change the fact that the game itself is DRM free. when it has been edelivered to you, there is no checks or controls - i.e. no rights management at all, so removing the R and M from DRM
