Remedy released a new update today which officially brought back DX11 support. I hope this update will make it to GOG very fast.

Odd, my epic game provides me with the choice between dx 11 and 12 at the start, with even still the text in place how the developer recommends dx11 for most players

Huh? The game has dx11 support since the beginning. I played it on Windows7 with it without problems.

From this thread, it looks like Remedy screwed up with the release of the standard version on Steam and this update was issued just to fix this specific problem.
