Redfern: Its 20$ (in local currency) for Russia.

IAmSinistar: Oh dear, looks like we'll all be moving to Russia again.
Mind you, there's possibly going to be differences in the regional versions.

What price do you get?

For me it's showing the $ price ($59.99 before sale), not the Russian Ruble one (a tad over $20 converted). That's probably because I had changed my location to US after their region announcement, but before they apparently locked us into the region's we had set (which came sometime after). Since changing it to RU after didn't change the prices anymore.

I guess the interesting thing there would be how they handle the regionality. If it's account based, then I imagine you can only download whatever your regional equivalent is (censored etc), regardless of where you are.

The system is confusing or just plain broken - it seems to track IPs to determine your region but then it also appears to take into account what your location was set to at the time they enforced it? And then there are people from the same country reporting that they are presented with different prices (and currencies)?

As for the latter part of your post - that's still wide open based on the FAQ, which makes pre-ording quite a gamble.
This is my price (or price for Czech Republic?) - 40€ with 20% drops for both Witchers.

Didn't know there was a "region locker" and thus I see 20 USD right now.
$90 Australian without the $9 pre-order reduction. That is some epic price gouging that I never expected from GoG.
That is $83.98 US dollars.
Considering GoG and CD Projekt RED are as they themselves put it "part of one family" there is no excuse for this price. This has made me rethink my support of GoG and CD Projekt RED.
So whats the greatest difference in price over the world: $20-$90?

What's the compensation on that?

Since i posted the pre-order price has gone down to $76.49 aus and now the compensation is $19.98 back (~A$21.78) in bonus codes to get free classic games from GOG.com. .
Does that mean $19.98 cash back or $21.78 in bonus codes? I have already purchased all the classic games I want from GoG so the codes would be pointless for me.

The only reason for this huge price increase that i can think of, would have to be to appease the brick and mortar stores in Australia, who are also selling it at $90 aus. I thought that went against one of GoG's founding principles. If they can change their views on something like that (which is supposed to be at the core of their business philosophy) why not DRM next?

That would be 2x 9.99 codes that can only be used on 9.99 games (ie, full priced)
The pricing of TW3 is actually Namco Bandai's fault, not GOG's. That being said it's $60 for me without any discounts so I guess I have US price for this. I wonder why do I get the EU price for AOW3 then...

I think that's very unfair to say given that they already had experience with Namco Bandai with Witcher 2 and decided to go with them again. They knew full well Witcher 3 was going to be regionally priced. I highly doubt it wasn't part of their own plans. Even more so since they have clearly given in to Regional pricing being 'a thing' on the GOG website as well.

Namco Bandai was signed to distribute TW3 in Aus and NZ (reported around Jan of this year). Didn't CD Projekt RED hire them for that purpose. They would have to be more then a little naive or plain just didn't care to not know they would charge people from Aus or NZ far more. In all likelihood they new, they are not going to hire a distributor for a region without even knowing a rough estimate of pricing. The buck still stops with CD Projekt RED and GoG, they are the same company are they not?

Yep, saying it's all Namco-Bandai's fault is disingenuous IMHO, CDPR must have known what they were getting into after what happened with the W2 release.
