Honestly not sure about this one, I enjoy Sam & Max but the TellTale releases always felt just a bit off for some reason. Hope the developers get to make an original game in the IP in the future so they can show what they can do with the property themselves.

Wait what? What exactly's remastered about this?

No french dubbing while it was available
for the 2006 version ? No way !

With a re-release of Telltale games I'd hoped they would bother to fix the invisible Sybil in Ep. 1. But they'll just abandon it and expect us to buy the game again.

A whole lot. Character models especially, cel-shade-style outlines, textures, UI, controller support, a completely new lighting system, modern monitor format, new music, uncompressed audio, completely new title theme and sequence, and in one case they switched out a voice actor entirely.

The rights for the remaster have been carefully pulled from under a pile of crap covered ruins that once was Telltale Games. These rights may not have included a particular language version - or any language version for that matter.

So...would the original game be released as a extra, or is there an ownership/copyright issue?
Doesn't seem like the 50% discount is active yet as I'm still seeing $20.

The enhancements are pretty good imo so I'll be grabbing it once the discount becomes active.

Same here. Not seeing the discount, but I'm in as soon as I do.

This
i have the first Sam & Max. Is this a renewed version of the second one that was released in episodes back in the day?

WOW, what an "upgrade".

Original
"Remaster"

Nice wall textures there... Let me guess it'll be double the price too?

Edit: I paid £1.89 (£18.69 - 90% off) back in 2014, so even £15.49 -50% = £7.75 has quadrupled in price. Hard pass...

New engine? Or maybe just changed, cleaned and patched up?
Because they need that, badly.
Then new TT games on better engine... a man can dream.

They recast the voice actor for Bosco, because it was a black character voiced by a white actor, a creative decision that didn't exactly sit right with the team when they decided to revisit it.
I'm wondering about the Venn diagram of people who like Sam & Max, people who prioritise inoffensiveness in comedy, people who believe voice actors should be the same races as their characters, and people who can find no other reason to dislike Bosco's portrayal of a black American.

I had to add the game to my cart first, and then the discount was applied.
