Delayed, with a silver lining...

November 3, 2015 - UPDATE:
Due to publisher request, both the base edition and Collector's Edition of Hard West are again available 20% off during pre-orders - purchasing the standard edition will no longer grant access to the Collector's Edition of the game.
If you previously purchased the standard edition, your pre-order will still be automatically upgraded to the Collector's Edition. Look out for a confirmation email before the game's release.
If you purchased the Collector's Edition before November 3, 2:45 PM GMT, you'll soon receive a discount code for any Devolver or Gambitious game on GOG.com. A token of appreciation for your support.

October 30, 2015 - UPDATE:
The Hard West release date has been officially pushed back by two weeks to November 18 - but there is a silver lining! Gambitious Digital Entertainment are making the Collector's Edition available for the price of the standard edition to everyone who preorders the game.
If you already bought the standard edition, your pre-order will be automatically upgraded to the Collector's Edition. Look out for a confirmation email before the game's release.
If you purchased the Collector's Edition you'll soon find a discount code for any GOG.com Devolver or Gambitious game on your game shelf. A token of appreciation for your support.

<span class="bold">Hard West</span>, a brutal Wild West tactical RPG, is available for pre-orders now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% pre-order discounts.

The Hard West is a dangerous West, a weird West - a world of supernatural forces clashing with human greed, remains and traces of black pacts haunting the dusty roads and saloons. Hard West is hard. In true spirit of a wild, wild west - it's a game that seems to get satisfaction from making sure you never, ever, feel safe and secure. A bullet is a bullet, and folks aren't made out of sponge. They do, however, have an arsenal of tricks and abilities at their disposal - that, and a healthy dose of luck. Your tactical options will include dynamic, improvised cover, ricochets, and using shadows (not just yours) for every advantage you can get.

Hard West is a game that focuses on offering plenty of depth and unfamiliar twists on your favorite kind of squad-based, tactical gameplay.

Your pre-order includes the <span class="bold">Hard West - Digital Collector's Edition</span> complete with a Digital Artbook, Original Digital Comic Book, and the Full Original Digital Soundtrack, all for the price of the regular edition.

Pre-order <span class="bold">Hard West</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com. The discount will last for the duration of pre-orders.
Seeing a lot of hate here so I wish to clarify: the intended deal has always only been to reward the people who had already pre-ordered the game before the delay with a free upgrade to the collector's edition, the same deal as on the other platforms. These aren't any fishy experiments or anything, it's just that some miscommunication happened somewhere at some point.

Niggles: (no i hadnt ordered it yet and im wondering whether i will bother since the PUBLISHER pulls this stunt)
It was no stunt, just some error while everyone meant well.

HornyRhino: apparently now you get a free game voucher if you purchased before 3rd Nov instead of before where it was a free game voucher if you purchased the collectors edition before the collectors for same price as regular promotion.

This doesn't say anything about a free game voucher or extra key. All it says is you get a discount code 'for any Devolver or Gambitious game on GOG.com'. To me, this only says it's a generic discount voucher (for an unspecified amount) that can be applied to any of those games, but it doesn't imply a free game, IMO.

earlier in the thread it was stated it was a $9.99 redemption code so no its NOT free ...That was my mistake when i read it.
the code/voucher its given to you for free not the game is free :)

still a good code though should a game take your fancy.

Hmm so hard west collectors edition was available at the standard edition price as an incentive when the game was delayed and now that is over. I was waiting for pay day (today).

Now I'm not going to pull that trigger. Since I have no assurance there is a FLAC soundtrack in there, I have no real reason to take the risk.

I'll just wait until release and maybe a sale and a few more reviews.

I guess on the bright side now the pricing isn't as compelling for the Collectors edition I get to go back to my rule of no pre-orders :)

With a tinge of disappointment, I'm probably better off.

right in there with you buddy, converted all my .wma to flacs ages ago
this would be a real step back
Unfortunately I missed the free upgrade discount. No hard feelings, miscommunication happens. However this game has moved into my "wait until the price is reduced and goes on sale" to buy group. I have a way too large backlog as it is, so I don't usually feel the need to pre-order or buy at launch, unless the deal is just too good or unique.

The game does look good, by the way.
Yeah, the game looks great and I'm excited to play it, but I don't need it ASAP by any means. It's probably still going to have bugs that need worked out, plus it will give more time for more thorough reviews to come and I can be even more certain about it (though from what I'vs seen I don't have too many doubts). And the backlog is huge, and it's no where near pressing to play. Why are there too many games and not enough time!?

Any news about GOG keys for backers? Release day is coming soon... :P
This game looks interesting :)
Did y'all who ordered before the 3rd get the upgrade to the Collector's Edition already, or will that happen just before the actual release?

Sadly personally I have no insight into these matters but I just sent a reminder to the corresponding people.

deonast: Am I right in assuming since nothing is mentioned about FLAC or lossless that the soundtrack is just going to be an MP3.
Good news: FLAC will be available.

I didn't get the upgrade until now so I assume we will be upgraded just before or on release. Plus
If I'm right GOG would send you a mail saying that your copy has been upgraded.

It was a gift, so I wasn't sure who'd receive the email: the person who purchased the game or the recipient. Thanks for letting me know!
