Be the very first to play!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available to preload on GOG.com. If you have pre-ordered the anticipated, next-generation RPG, you can choose to pre-load the game and be one of the very first to play once it goes live on May 19th.

The simplest way to preload the game is through the just-released GOG Galaxy Beta. GOG Galaxy is fully integrated into the DRM-free release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and includes convenient auto-updates, game time tracking and achievements. Of course, you can also preload manually by downloading the available files off your shelf on the website.

The preload includes subtitles in every language and full English voiceovers. Once the game is live, you'll have the option to download an additional ~3GB language pack with voiceovers in your preferred language.

The complete original soundtrack is also available for download today alongside the preload, just in time to set the proper mood for the ruthless, dark-fantasy epic. If you preordered the game, you'll find the soundtrack in the bonus goodies section of your shelf. Don't forget, that this is one of the last opportunities to take advantage of the pre-order discounts - that includes the -20% loyalty deal for owners of the previous two The Witcher games on GOG.com!

While you wait, check out one of the sexiest previews of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, brought to you by the hilarity-infused Conan O'Brien:

Seems Gog Galaxy is useless for Witcher 3 atm, i can't seem to get it download Witcher 3 no matter what i try.

When i click install, it sometimes says "Game not supported"

But now, i can't even do anything anymore since when i click "Install" it always goe back to my game library every time i click "Install" for Witcher 3.

jao2828: Is it me, or is GOG intentionally complicating the online library to try and force people into using galaxy?

Excited about The Witcher 3 :D
Not excited about the new library changes.
Ding ding ding ding ding, we have a winner! They can't say they're forcing people to use Galaxy, but they can make life so miserable for non-Galaxy users they'll switch over on their own.

The total size of the individual installers is under 25GB... that can't be right, can it? How much more are you going to add closer to release?

YES! but downloading is sooooooo slow.
Sounds like I'm the smart one. I'll just until everyone has downloaded it, the patch comes out and we aren't all fighting for bandwidth during the downloading.

Actually I'm not smart I pre-ordered but haven't got around to buying a decent graphics card yet so I'm not even trying to download it until another pay day or two passes. ;)
Hi all. I have a problem and I wish you could help me. So I started downloading witcher 3 and then I stopped the download because I went to play cs. Well after cs game I came back to download and now its says that "game is not supported. Are there any easy way to fix this ? Thanks for the answers!

Edit. Ok its started downloading again. Hope its doesnt freeze anymore ;)

I luckily finished downloading it about 18 hours ago and it is already installed. Just waiting for the 19th for the patch to enable the game to release. I keep staring at the icon on my desktop and wish it would just work already, haha.
Tried downloading with Galaxy, same problem as many other people had, coming in at 0.1 MB/sec if at all.

Used GOG downloader, downloaded @ 10.3 MB/sec (almost the maximum speed of my internet connection). It got me thinking if GOG Galaxy suffers from the same problem as Origin client at one point, where using certain DNS settings would slow the downloads to a crawl? Something to think about if someone has yet to try downloading through the Galaxy client

Another reason could be the clients connections getting blocked silently by an overly aggressive firewall or some such.

The reason I'm thinking out loud is because I'm a soon to be ICT-engineer, don't mind me :P
Well, this explains why my galaxy downloads have slowed right down

edit: may have been a problem on my end, restarted galaxy and it's back to normal speed now

Hmm, no problem with GOG Galaxy here, downloading between 15 and 25 MB/s... while downloading a game on Steam at around the same speed!
Downloaded and installed already! Cannot wait for the file to unlock it, upon release day!

As i was going through the achievements, i saw you can kill radovid! I really can't wait to butcher down that prick, he is the only king alive in my playthrough (except for Annais)! Also there are Horse-Races! Yay! What a minigame full of fun!

Bets, anyone? :P

Wait, how do you DO a DRM-free pre-load anyway? Do you just withhold a tiny piece of code / 'patch' until release time?

That is exactly how it works.
