Be the very first to play!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available to preload on GOG.com. If you have pre-ordered the anticipated, next-generation RPG, you can choose to pre-load the game and be one of the very first to play once it goes live on May 19th.

The simplest way to preload the game is through the just-released GOG Galaxy Beta. GOG Galaxy is fully integrated into the DRM-free release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and includes convenient auto-updates, game time tracking and achievements. Of course, you can also preload manually by downloading the available files off your shelf on the website.

The preload includes subtitles in every language and full English voiceovers. Once the game is live, you'll have the option to download an additional ~3GB language pack with voiceovers in your preferred language.

The complete original soundtrack is also available for download today alongside the preload, just in time to set the proper mood for the ruthless, dark-fantasy epic. If you preordered the game, you'll find the soundtrack in the bonus goodies section of your shelf. Don't forget, that this is one of the last opportunities to take advantage of the pre-order discounts - that includes the -20% loyalty deal for owners of the previous two The Witcher games on GOG.com!

While you wait, check out one of the sexiest previews of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, brought to you by the hilarity-infused Conan O'Brien:

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering, since GOG claim that the Galaxy client is completely optional, will Witcher 3 feature in-game achievements, even without the client?

It not there :(

Can you attatch a screenshot of what to look for??
Thanks :P
With download speed between 0.0 to 0.1 MB/s we have certainly started preloading but not sure it will end anytime before May 19th, and if the same thing happens with the small file later on then that will be very disappointing.

I can't imagine a way that would work without any form of integrated online platform. That, and also Galaxy Client currently has no support for even basic stuff like language selection BEFORE installing the game (right now you basically need to download it twice), let alone achievements. So I'm guessing no, it won't have them at all, not on PC at least.

Everkeeper: I've rushed to my account to preload and I must say: the new library is HORRIBLE. No manual sorting, obscured Downloader links - you are really trying to push out the dysfunctional mess Galaxy Client is, aren't you GOG? That, and also why is Witcher 3 preload available only in English? One would think that all regional variations will be up by now, especially Polish since it's the "right" language to play the game in... *sigh* I'm really starting to think that I did wrong by preordering here.
I get your point about Polish being the "right" language for this game, but obviously a lot more people will play it in English, since it's an international release, and because of that the English version is probably also the version they invested most resources in. I'm curious how the Polish version compares, in terms of voice acting quality, aside from being the proper language for this story of course.

Anyhow, language packs are apparently offered as separate downloads.

jaworeq: Must be something on your side.
Doubt it, works fine with everything else.
Is it me, or is GOG intentionally complicating the online library to try and force people into using galaxy?

Excited about The Witcher 3 :D
Not excited about the new library changes.

Well, I just want the full game experience, with all little optional challenges etc. I don't care about gamerscores and e-penis comparisons, or whatever. Several other GOG games have achievements built directly into the game. And it works on consoles too, as you said. ( At least last-gen -- I don't own one of the new ones. )

Not really. Even Train Fever on gog has inbuilt game achievements that unlock when you reach certain game milestones and you don't need any online support for that.
Downloading at 0.1 MB/s. Thank GOG I can preload a week early because at this rate it might take that long. xD
Just a week now until release day! I'm pretty excited. I'm all ready to be sick for work with a stomach bug from bad sushi Monday night.
hilarious!

"Emperor of MILFgarden"

"I'm just a little on fire"

"At this point the water hag is looking good to me ... if she's halfway decent I'm ready to go ... OMG she needs a bra!"

"He tied his towel very securely"
For me Galaxy is simultaneously claiming to be (slowly) downloading the game and that the game has been sitting at 3.1 MB since it reached that level.
