That's a shame. I really don't understand why game devs have to add all of that DRM nonsense to the game core. Now I wonder if the game will ever make it to GOG...

It's a real shame alright, but at least there is hope for the game being released on GoG.
I almost bought it from the Stardock store today, but their DRM-policy is vague, to say the least.
Well, I have been waiting for this game for several months, so adding a few more shouldn't hurt.

How have they been trolling with HL3? Valve has made no statements that they're making it as far as I know and at least 1 that made it unlikely they were going to as far as I remember? All the HL3 hype comes from fans.

it's been an awfully long time and still no news of a GoG release.
By now, most people who wanted it probably bought the Steam version, but seeing it uses Steam-exclusive code I highly suspect the game to use Steam's DRM as well. And this is a no-go for me.

So, is it time to move on, or is there still reason to hope?

The last official word is that they are working on a GOG-version, but that they don't have a release-date yet.

So, unless something changed since those posts were made, there is still hope for the game to come here. We just need to keep waiting.

Still waiting for a GOG release. Seems like the game will be in the coming soon tab forever. :(
