KrankyKat: For all those who don't like Steam, did you read the actual FAQ lines at the bottom of the Kickstarter page?
How will I get my digital copy of the game?
We are still exploring the idea of offering number of options, but one of those is definitely going to be Steam.
KrankyKat: In other words, it's not necessarily going to be Steam
exclusive. Exploring other options is likely to come after being funded and they know they're going to make the game, and is then dependent on contracts being worked out or whatever. All of that.
Not that I know whether other options will pan out, but Obsidian is not hell-bent on being Steam-exclusive just to screw with people. >.>
Well, it's funded, so maybe they can tell us now.
It grates on my nerves to support Obsidian in this, these guys are so fucking terrible at releasing buggy games, I shiver to think what their games will be like without a publisher forcing a certain amount of quality control. This is the reason they're getting 20 bucks instead of 100 or more.
