Kinda disappointed we have to wait that long for the gameplay video though. If it's coming in a couple of months time, I highly doubt the game will release this year. Considering they still have to get the playable beta to backers which will take sometime.

Well, I wouldn't have anything against them taking a bit longer, but if they said they can bring the game out in winter, I'll just believe them for now.

My main concern is that I want them to spend enough time testing it that it will be stable without major bugs when it releases. If they end up needing more time to do that (and still have enough money in the budget for that time) then it's fine with me to wait awhile longer. As much as I loved Kotor 2, I don't want to go through that again where it's buggy and blatantly feels unfinished.

So what do we know and what dont we know now about the game?. Seems way off....

There are only five skills. They represent the majority of the D&D 4E skill list, streamlined:

Athletics - Athletics, Acrobatics
Lore - Arcana, History, Religion
Mechanics - Dungeoneering, Thievery
Stealth - Stealth
Survival - Heal, Nature

Endurance is rolled into a Constitution check
Insight into a Perception check

Speech skills are represented by Attributes

Intimidation - Strength
Diplomacy - Resolve, Intellect

etc etc

That's depressingly simple. I love that "stealth - stealth". What a waste..

At least the adventuring, atmosphere, story, music, characters etc.. will be good I hope.

"Documentary Reward

We also wanted to let all of our backers know about a decision we'd recently come to about our Documentary DVD/Bluray item. We were faced with a bit of a dilemma when it came to the full documentary footage. In order to provide a physical copy of the documentary when the game shipped, we would be unable to show the final leg of production in order to have time to print all of the discs and packaging. We want our backers to be able to share the entire experience of making this game with us - from the earliest beginnings to the very end. To do this, we've decided to forgo making a physical copy of the documentary, and will instead release a digital downloadable extended version. We recognize that some of you may be upset by this decision, but we hope that you'll understand our reasoning.
We will be replacing the DVD/Blu-ray with another reward though. Stay tuned for a future update to find out all of the particulars.
