What's with the giant buy button? What's with the messy language overview? Wastes a lot of space and only shows English as default? It also feels like it's more a mobile site than one for a desktop PC (start using all the free space, especially if you spread things even more out for no reason!). Nice change to the review system though.

/edit: Regarding the language overview...why not give us the option to show certain languages? Enough people know more than one, so it would makes sense for them, especially since playing the game in the language it was developed is usually the best experience.
By the way, the cycling-through-screenshots thing when you hover over games from the same series/game recommendations is pretty useful.
And yeah, autoplay is an absolute no-go. Pretty much every sensible person hates it, so whoever thought it would be a good idea needs to be slapped across the face.

Generally love the redesign and happy to see the revamped review system, but please let us disable the autoplay.

The redesign is meh at best.
Another "no video autoplay" vote from me. If there is something I seriously HATE on the internet, it's autoplaying videos.

Other than that, the top half of the page looks really nice, no problems there. The problems start when I reach the 2nd half of the page.

- Popular achievements - what is the point other than taking up space?
- The grid where you can compare editions - it's GREAT to have this, REALLY - but why is it so streched out? There is like 3 lines of empty space between two lines. Why?
- System reqs should NOT be hidden in the bottom. Why can't you put the back to the right column where they are easy to find? Maybe.... in the "Game Details" box, right in the top?
- Takling about the right column, there is like 3 lines of empty space between each blocks there. Again, why? It's really uncomfortable.
- Buy series + You may like these products - this is WAY to bloody large, and takes up WAY too much space. Why can't this be just a easy-to-see list in the right column?

I'd also like to add: THANK YOU, seriously THANK YOU for the new review system.

The fuck is this shit?

A good number of reviews I wrote are gobbled up.

The reviews that made it through the redesign now display the whole text as one big block, with no regards to the original paragraphs (they do make a text more readable, you know).

When I enter a search term it gets deleted if I don't type fast enough.

Gogmixes nuked.

Oh yeah, there was some outcry when you guys introduced profiles. Something about people being unhappy that info concerning their library was available for all to see. Well, good thing you saw fit to put that same info in the infobox next to the reviews. Because, hey, OBVIOUSLY I want everyone to know how much of a no-life-having loser I am for buying 1000+ games from this shitty website.

Is it possible for you guys do something and not fuck it up colossaly every step of the way? (Trick question, I know the answer to that by now.)

It looks nice but the UI is way too big -_- feels like it was designed for a tablet... that trend needs to end, everything is turning into huge buttons and little info per square inch....

If you need inspiration take a look at ars technica, they have their big layout site but you can also just switch to the mobile site which is amazing. (see bottom footer of their website)

Its fine if you wanna follow the trend but at least leave an option for a compact and minimalist interface. The old layout had room for improvement sure, but this is not the way.

+1 on disabling autoplay

EDIT: If It wasnt clear, I am 100% against the new layout XD

EDIT2: Loved the 10 year promo-video, happy bday GOG!!!

I love how that doesn't work for me when I click on "watch the video", yet the autoplay annoyance does.

TentacleMayor: Please, please no video autoplay. Or at least give an option to permanently turn it off.

Regards, anyone with a data cap.
Not just anyone with a data cap, but anyone who is sane. Automatically playing videos is a huge web design no-no, right along with animated GIFs and blinking text. On top of this, the area reserved for the video is a waste of page space. I could be reading about the game when the page loads but instead I have to wait for the videos and images to load, then scroll all the way down first. It's unintuitive, takes too long, wastes my time and puts me off from wanting to buy anything.

I tried blocking the entire video player area with uBlock Origin. Unfortunately that makes the "Add to cart" button appear underneath the top overlapping menu, another design no-no (the menu should scroll with the page or the main page content should be constrained to the area between the menu and the bottom of the browser instead of scrolling *under* other content). I ended up blocking only the video and leaving the wasted space.

Honestly, I didn't think GOG had such amateur designers working for them.

RIP GOGmixes (2008-2018). I'll miss you buddies. :'(

I dislike the new design, too large. Only positive I can see is some of the added sorting options in reviews.

Check your reviews again. Mine at least seem to have reappeared, but the formatting is indeed an issue now. Another reason as to why I would like an edit function so that I could go and fix it myself.

Only positive I see is the separate ratings for actual owners (which - unsurprisingly - happen to be way lower than the total rating of everyone who voted).

Nope, still gone.

It's definitely not for mobile. Have you tried it on mobile? It's complete mess requiring 7-8 taps to check all the game info which previously was available with just scrolling down... I didn't realized that mobile experience may be even worse than before :(

Yep, I titally agree on the criticism.

1.) Suddenly GoG looks and feels a lot different. OK, one could live with it if it would be for the better, but it isn't:
- This insane playback video is really big and distracting. A little understatement would do good.
- That buy-botton its really prominent to the point of penetrant. It also cuts into view and overlaps that giant video.
- The previous old design was much more subtil and therefore i liked it more. Everything you needed to know on one glance. Neet and tidy. This new one is too "loud" and "irritating"

2.) Is there an option? I hoped that everything is optional on GoG. But it seems only to the point of going with the cjoice or not. Is there anywhere in the settings I can choose the old design?

3.) The giant big video comes without sound and there are no controls to it to change that. At least not on my Galaxy

4.) The video and picture overlay from the screenshot previous resize badly. On the browser it might work, but in Galaxy it is often to big and buttons got tucked behind the top menu bar or so. E.g. I like my Galaxy window to be not full-screen, infact I like it reasonably small. If you know click on screenshot previous, they are that big that the canceling button (that little X in the top right corner, is behind the transparent menu bar in the top. I can't click it. I have to maximize Galaxy in order to be able to reach it to click it. Sometimes not even that is possible (e.g. Indiana Jones' previous pic is so big that it even get's tucked behind when I go full-screen with Galaxy)

...

All in all, I don't like it. And some of the things are buggy at least. Should have been tested more before applying to everyone. An option to not use it would be nice. Make such fundamental changes permanent only when a vast majority of your users actually use and like them
