Obviously 15 is the best.
I live in California, and I thought the title was talking about some natural disaster I missed.

SpellSword: I wonder if the new Quake will be styled like the first Quake or more like the rest of the Quake series?

As I know, id Software does not want to continue Strogg stroyline. See this. So Quake 5 might be a reboot of Quake 1.

adamhm: And I bet it'll be infected with Denuvo just like Doom
For a $60 / 60 euro .
hmm, chance of this being anything in the spirit of actual quake (qw & q3: cpma) is pretty much zilch, so colour me uninterested.

Makes it all the more sad how Activision has turned Raven Software into another one of their Call of Duty Secondary Developers. They are capable of so much more.

Since the new Quake can't be developed by Raven Software, I hope Machine Games has some involvement in it.

Oh I hope it plays more like Quake 1. That was the best Quake. I sure would like to see it with an actual story, too!
Quake 4 was fine. I played it some time ago, right after finishing 2 again. Both are fun, but I still like 2 more. 4 felt a bit unremarkable, overall, but it's still worth playing.

I always enjoyed Quake 1 up until the 3rd episode. The 4th was awful in every aspect to me. Still, I haven't seen an HD take on it since that Doom 3 mod ages ago (which I wish I remembered more about) and would love to see such take on a more official note.

do you tend to miss many natural disasters in California?

No, they were hit by 'Batman v. Superman' just the same as all of us.
The new Quake game is called Quake: Champions and judging by its E3 trailer, it looks to be more of a successor to Quake 3 Arena than the other installments of the series.

Wrack, Visor, ??, ?? , lighting gun, railgun, rocket launcher, teleport, some kind of jumping device, Q3 gauntlet in the end.

Q3, Q3 never changes. But the champignons in the name reminds me of mushrooms...
Maybe they could make Quake the game that it was supposed to be before they had to cut all the RPG elements out of it in favour of turning it into a pure FPS. Back in the day I was more interested about the game Sandy Petersen and co. talked about in the interviews than I was about the game they ended up shipping.

Doom was 35.
A new quake eh? I hope it's multiplayer is just like Quake 3 arena and the story of like quake 1 or 2.

SWEET can't wait to see this a good few years down the pipeline.
