Sage103082: Do you find Wyrm scummy or are you only voting him because he has the most votes so far? If you do find him scummy what was it that made you think he is was scum?
avatar
JMich: I do find something off with his posts, and he finds his own behavior scummy as well.
Exhibit a:
avatar
Bookwyrm627: You think one townie risking his life to draw information from half of town isn't worthwhile? When I die, and with my behavior I fully expect the question is "when", I think my actions will serve my side.

JMich: Exhibit b:
avatar
Bookwyrm627: You called me scummy, and that's fine. I'd have been surprised if SOMEONE didn't, after I posted the way I did.
avatar
JMich: So, not my top pick, and not one I'd like to pick so fast, but someone thinks his gut is all knowing. If it is, all is well, if it's not, gut trust should take a blow towards proper reason.
You point out Wyrm saying he is scummy. I would have liked to see the reasons you found him scummy in your own words.

Sage103082: bump in case the above was a mistake. Though I am unsure if it is or not.
I know, right?
It sure implied he was about to vote for JMich or something. His previous posts indicated he was open to either RWarehall or me, so his vote is consistent in that regard.

Lol, I thought the same thing.

I'd like to hear JMich's answers to my questions before casting a vote.

I thought it was amusing to set up the vote that way, but yes, the actual vote was hearkening back to comments of 24 hours ago. Very observant.

I'd pretty much decided last night that I was likely going to RW over you, but if the town thought there was value in keeping you under pressure longer - whether getting you to crack, or drawing someone else onto the wagon (or is it a train? a wagon-train?) - I thought I'd let that play out.

With trent moving off you whatever value was ever in the pretense seemed spent, since you're back to what, L-6? I won't say this is my "final-final" vote, but it's probably my first truly serious vote of who I would cast the stone at (it's not a stoning?) if I were the sole judge and jury.

I was amused. I wish you had allowed more folks to confess dismay before you clarified matters, however. :P
I could Vote for RWarehall.

I am not convinced of JMich or Bookwyrm being scum at this time.

QUESTION FOR THOSE CURRENTLY VOTING

**************************************
**************************************

Are you confident enough in your current vote to use a Vigilante shot to kill that player right now??
avatar
trentonlf: What I want to know is why on earth would you present such a scummy front to start the game if you really are not scum?
-To make Day 1 more interesting and hopefully lower the "shot in the dark" factor of the Day 1 lynch.
-Get people to react in a way that will be useful later in the game. I figured it might start kicking in around Day 3 or so, but maybe we'll get lucky.
-If I screw it up and get lynched for looking scummy, then hopefully wagon analysis will serve town better later on.
Answer to question...No. Just got home from work, seems a lot to figure out here. And to clarify further, I'd think a Vigilante shot Day 1 would be a foolish play Day 1 (assuming its limited). Day 2 and beyond you'd have far more to go on.

I can think of 3 people I would use it on right now :)

flubbucket: Are you confident enough in your current vote to use a Vigilante shot to kill that player right now??
I don't know, are you giving me one to use?
So going backwards from this page...
Post 548: I still don't get how you think there will be value in a wagon analysis if you are lynched. I said it before, acting scummy means anyone is justified to vote for you. Just about any other wagon seems to me to be more valuable to analyze. For example, my wagon which seems to be composed of gut feelings that I'm scum because I've said I'm town and that dismissing Vitek's initial PM delay as nothing is talking about PMs so I'm scummy. Here's some new information (decidedly meaningless). I had not responded to Vitek's call for a PM response before he started the game anyway without hearing from me. I work second shift and start work at 2 PM Eastern time. I probably missed seeing Vitek's PM by less than an hour as I left for work. I got home after 10 and the game had started...I doubt this means anything but let the conspiracy theories commence...

I'm not so amused with Bier's voting. He doesn't really give much of a reason and its strange that he claims this as a serious vote but basically set it up like a carnie at a circus. Are you really being serious or are you just having fun, or both? Bookwyrm's defense of these antics is also interesting.

The JMich vote affair...interesting, very interesting. I'm a little surprised he came out of his shell so much on day 1. he was off my lynch radar, but I do have to say Trent has a convincing argument, but I need to read further to find where all this started.

CSPVG's comment about Sage kinda playing follow the leader and not really making any new or significant observations is interesting. The same reasoning convinced me Flub was scum in a previous game (although he had done it over more than one day). Its where my vote currently lay although it seems a number of people may be competing for me to change my vote...

Dedo's post...so I guess Trenton explained it far better. Something about this bothers me, but maybe its just the way this wagon seems to be forming so quickly. At least he decided to place a vote, if he had not, that would have been really scummy. So Yog and JMich going at each other. I kinda see what Yog is trying to say, that JMich's lurking style gives him a free pass, but I don't see how that's enough to vote on him. But then strangely, JMich comes out to vote on Book and with a sideways attack on Yog, but another thing that bothers me is this reasoning that Vitek is applying so much pressure by threatening to start the deadline clock. I mean, thinking about starting a timer is that much pressure...

So, sorry for talking to myself, but what have I learned this page...
I'm liking Trent, CSPVG and Christigale Good analysis and questions.
Yog and Dedo. Seems the same sort of arguments, but I'm just not as convinced. And strangely two players I've gone toe-to-toe with in prior games and thought them scum at the beginning. Is it their play style or is something really there.
JMich - Went from out of lynch consideration to part of the question. Something bothers me about the speed this formed...but...
Bier - Are his shenanigans meant as a distraction? It sure is consistent with trying to change the topic to save a scum buddy....
Sage - No substance, strong opinions for just gut feelings. Something does seem a little different about her play...
Krypsen - Just oblivious, but then comes out with an on point comment like this last one to Bier. That is why I'm not convinced. For now, off my radar, too many other better candidates.
Bookwyrm - sure as heck seems to be convinced this scummy act is helpful. Not sure what to make of it. If all else fails, his statements are scummy enough to warrant a lynch and may be worth a policy lynch anyway. Just like Hijack when he started, he might be worth a vote because even if wrong and he's town, eliminating him eliminates a distraction.

Hmm...so if I picked 4 scum right now...Sage, Bier, JMich and ?????...

RWarehall: Krypsen - Just oblivious...
Heh. Everyone is a critic. ;)

RWarehall: ...but then comes out with an on point comment like this last one to Bier.
Which one is that? You'll have to narrow down to which 'on point' comment you are referring. There are so many to choose from, after all.

I think you know, but just in case 514 and 519 where you are pretty much answering Bier's question as to why people were suspicious of him early on.

You may have been somewhat joking, but there is enough seriousness and awareness to the response...its just so curious and like I said on-point.
