IMPORTANT: Please read before posting This topic has been provided to discuss the latest releases of our Downloader (for both Mac and Windows systems) and to submit bug reports. The stable releases (recommended for most users) can be found at this address:http://www.gog.com/downloader.

Latest version:

Mac OS X - 1.2 (build 512)
Windows - 3.6.0

Both Downloaders now have the option of sending Error Reports directly to us (this can be found in app under Settings).

6. i download the latest version of the gog downloader and it wont let login with my username and password.

New issue today: Is the server down?

The downloader's status bar shows "Online" and "error, retrying...", and doesn't take downloads.

I am having the same issue. The log includes this:

Message: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error

The GOG downloader rejects my password and email address when I try to log in.
I am not the only one with this problem;there is another thread about it below.I have emailed GOG about this issue .

Won't do anything when I click to download. Just have "error, retrying" in the corner with nothing happening:

Downloader Version - 3.0.52.0 (stable)

OS Version - Windows 7

OS Language - English

Browser - Google Chrome, Latest Build 22.0.1229.79 m

Not really sure what's up with it. It was working fine just yesterday.

Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. It obviously keeps its settings between installs, otherwise it wouldn't default to that download location. Maybe I can clear those settings, wherever they're kept?

gtrager: Hi. I just installed the 3.0.51b version when I was notified by GOG, and now the downloader will not connect to GOG. It simply says, "connecting", and stays off line. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times, but no joy.

Fallen_Zen: Please make sure your antivirus software hasn't put the Downloader on a black list.
have the same problem ("connecting...") but its not my antivirus blocking it, added firewall exception but that didnt fix it

Absolutely nothing showing up in my queue even though I have much to download.
Dowload Version: 3.0.52.0 (stable)
OS Version: Win 7 Ultimate
OS Language: English
Browser Kind: Firefox 15.0.1

Every time I try downloading with the GOG Downloader nothing shows up in my queue even though I am logged in.

Solved it. Added the exception to the firewall. Now it works.

The downloader (3.1.3) seems to crash when my antivirus software (avast! Antivirus) blocks access to the newly-merged installer (setup_rayman_forever.exe).

Now, I realise this is most likely a false positive, and that I should just disable the antivirus software and get on my way, but I would like to see two things done:
1: See to it that avast! doesn't identify any of the archived files as a virus.
2: Even if a file IS wrongly identified as a virus and subsequently blocked, don't crash the downloader, continue with the next file instead and give a warning about the antivirus blockage.

6. The downloader crashed on me a few times, while downloading Divine Divinity. I didn't notice the exact time of the crash (just saw an extra window in the taskbar and opened it to see an error message), but I think it happened while adding stuff to the queue list. I decided to finally update and organize my gog content in my Portable HD, so I've been adding a whole lot of stuff to the queue. The log is quite large, I'll update this post if you really need it.

Well, I never did get a response from GOG Staff, but I was finally able to log in with the downloader. I guess it was a server issue?

Hi, my 5 cents here (hope it was not posted before):

1. Version 3.0.52
2. Win XP Pro 32bit SP3
3. English
4. Firefox 15.0.1 English
5. No log created.
6. When I install the downloader using "Run As Administrator" option
from casual user account - install 100% successful.
Then it did not even bother to start, throwing an error immediately.
System event viewer reported:
EventType clr20r3, P1 gog.com downloader.exe, P2 3.0.52.0, P3 5006c948,
P4 microsoft.visualbasic, P5 8.0.0.0, P6 4333d6d8, P7 87, P8 52,
P9 system.io.filenotfoundexception, P10 NIL.

However when I install from Administrator account directly it works 100% ok for all users.

But if I, very fast, add a lot of items into the queue the downloader usually,
but not always crashes.
