So Geth Beta, then?

Also that's odd...you'd think such a thing would've been worldwide news/a bigger story.

Nice, but crowder doing Bob Ross was better, I think.
(Also I wonder if Bob Ross's estate sued this guy like they did when crowder did it)

They just don't like the truth being shoved in their faces....it tears them from the bubble they have constructed to avoid such(as if that's even fully possible in today's world).

You're like the gog forum version of alex jones lite.....but less angry and slanderous of others. :D

There is no "the truth", unless you've managed to free yourself from the limitations of subjectivity. It's true that everything we think we "know" is a lie, because subjectivity-ego precludes knowing.

Knowing does fall within the rubric of possibility, but it don't come cheap. lol

Eh, I think there are still some objective truths to be had even when one is stuck to mostly subjective "truth", and I think that we can know some things objectively/somewhat objectively despite all that.

Knowing and being right aren't the same thing, tho. Change is the only true constant, so "objective truths" should not be mistaken for absolute truths.

To me if something is experienced as the same by the majority(barring rare exceptions like people with messed up senses) then it is more or less an absolute truth.

Mass media is extremely effective and efficient at managing public perception. Were this not the case, advertising revenue would be a tiny, insignificant fraction of what it presently is. It's a fallacy to think that majority opinions/beliefs are necessarily more credible than minority opinions/beliefs.

Maybe but I am talking more in general, outside of mass media....such as things we see irl and experience....stuff that makes it possible for us to make measurements/manipulate objects in similar ways/etc.
Truth is found with rational thinking, reason is the axiom from which all truth is derived.

Mass media is as real as anything else is. Read up on psychological warfare if you'd like to understand what I'm talking about. You'll find that it's almost indistinguishable from public relations and advertising -- assuming that you have some understanding of public relations and advertising. If you don't, read some public relations journals -- assuming you'd like to understand how the world works. ;p

So if they claim something enough it suddenly becomes objective reality for everyone? o.0

News reporter: Just in...all trees are now made of metal and the sky is now oranges.....film at 11.

Everyone that doesn't have the psychological wherewithal to question authority. What was it that a certain world historical figure said about big lies? lol

I think someone and another someone(if both have full use of their senses and are not impaired in some way will very likely both see the same thing(a tree for example) if they look at it from the same pov at the same time, etc)...this is what I was trying to say not things that can be more affected by belief. Also even then objective reality doesn't usually change....just one's perception of it.
