I would imagine it's going to be like #1. Censored with an easy patch to install. Pretty sure that's what Steam is doing, if they in fact carry it.

No big deal for me.

It took less that 30 seconds to patch the first one.
More importantly, is it coming on gog?

more importantly, will have a drm free humble widget up again so they get 25% more of my money.

oh and huniepop was not censored after i bought it through the drm free humble widget on their site back in the day. seeing as it was censored here, i definitely am going for the correct store.

I'm sick and somewhat bored, so I decided to look around a bit on their official twitter. :P

Q:
Any other platforms or sites you’re gunna release on without censorship from the start?
A:
All other platforms have allowed it (with the exception of GOG I believe) in the past. Even Humble have been total bros about it. So, it'll most definitely be available day one.

Sounds like it will make its way to gog.

I'm starting to think we could use a separate sub-store for this... stuff. GOGhub. Gooey Otaku Games. Something like that.

Wow, you don't like anime-style games? Are you sure? I mean, I don't think I've ever seen you mention it before that you dislike them. I've also never seen you say that you dislike pixel art. And if I recall, aren't you the guy that hates Star Trek?

See anything about a release date there? All I hear is 2019.

You've lost me there.

Then again, it's not like your posts ever make much sense, so whatever.

They didn't mention a release date yet it seems.

Yes.... They are censoring VN's so don't expect any special treatment.
Good thing they're consistent and also censor violence and gore. I mean, it would be weird if torture like scenes, mauled bodies and cut-off limbs would be allowed in The Witcher 3 while nude cartoon characters got censored.

Seriously, people who have a problem with something, be it nudity or gore, should just avoid products that contain those elements. Or better yet, keep the censor available in the options menu for those that want it.

Censorship of culture is ridiculous. It's not a matter whether you dislike the censored content or not, it's a matter of principle.

That could be an alternative, the digital equivalent of the curtained room at oldschool video stores.

I didn't mind when the VN uncensors were free. The last batch with their $5 uncensor... that's just not worth it. In the day of xVideos and PornHub, who needs to pay $5 for still images?

Would they bring HunieCam too? I find it strange that that game's not here if they plan on bringing HuniePop 2.

While I agree in principle, GOG has to abide to laws. For instance real pornographic material (and blacklisted games like The Chaos Engine *snicker*) would need an age verification system for German customers, otherwise the site itself would be blacklisted in Germany - meaning all major search engines would have to throw it out of their index for German users.
The ridiculous German blacklist is of course unique, but there are probably laws regulating access to "adult content" in more countries that GOG caters to.
