adamhm: And what about games that have game-breaking bugs halfway through, that get fixed elsewhere but not here (or we have to wait until they want to sell us some DLC before we get the fixes)?
And for missing content, I'm talking about missing actual content, stuff like DLC, expansions etc. and not merely inconsequential features like achievements.
Look at what happened with Armello:
That was the first time I can remember seeing a game's removal here being met with positive reception by the community.

GameRager: 2nd: Again you default to saying "well gog is still at fault because..."....you seem to want to auto default to finding reasons to blame gog(just my observation). I GET that you want to remind me that gog has some fault here, but i;m not saying they don't...just that(to me) the dev/etc has a share as well and likely a bigger one than gog's.
adamhm: That's because GOG are the only ones that can actually do anything about this! All we can do is express our disapproval and refuse to buy games that are affected or we think will be affected, and to warn others about it. We can complain to the publishers, but it's no concern to them as it's GOG's reputation that takes the damage.
First off thanks for keeping it civil and trying to debate....it is appreciated.
1st bit: If a game has game breaking bugs for some(not all I mean) then the game page should have a warning about such if they cannot stop selling it immediately for whatever reason(legal/etc). If it works for others they should still be able to buy it
and the dev should be made to produce a fix for the issue if they want to continue doing business here after their contract runs out and needs to be renewed.
This way, people are warned about bugs/missing content and can still decide if they want to buy such(if they can run it) and the site can still make money off of those who can play it and the dev can be held to account.
Basically I am for measures on both ends and allowing games some can run to still be sold with a warning on the game's page and elsewhere while devs are made to fix such if they want to do business here when contracts need to be renewed/renegotiated. 2nd bit: No, the devs can also fix their products as well...both sides should be held to account(this is fair, right?). I also think warning people is fine(that is a rational and fair stance)......I just dislike people wanting devs off gog entirely for such even if said games can be run by some or if gog has no choice but to sell them(if they have to do so, that is).
And (people/in general) don't complain to publishers and devs via email/etc....use social media and raise a fuss like the outrage mobs do for whatever they don't like. They are effective tools and i'd rather they be used for good and worthwhile causes like making devs fix things than what most use them for.

In the end I think we seem to agree on some aspects(warning people of bad/incomplete versions and devs making them, wanting those responsible to fix things, etc), which is nice when it happens(in general)...i.e. when people can find a common ground.
Thanks again for replying so much and so politely, once again. :)
