The reason that counter-claiming works for roles like Cop or Doctor, especially Cop, is that these roles are powerful enough that having multiples unbalances the game. These roles are powerful enough that specific counters had to be developed for even when there is only one instance in the game.

Commuter is a different story. I can't think of anything that is designed to counter a Commuter. I'm not even sure that Strongman breaks it. The closest thing is limiting the number of times it can be used.
I get it, Pooka might have changed the list and remove the Commuter role completely. And the fact that Micro flipped Macho didn't changed your opinion that much. Yes, it's possible and would be a very convenient for Mafia to lie claim Commuter, but the risk that list is true is still high.

Counterclaiming Cops or Doctors - no question in that. Counterclaiming Commuter would result the same *let's lynch one and if he/she flips Town - another, just in case*.I mean why would Joe, if he is Mafia, claim Commuter and not something else except for Cop or Doctor of course? Lastly his claim, if he is Mafia, it makes even less sense to me, unless it's a clever move to trick us.

I don't know about that, when I looked it up I thought that Commuter is immune to any NK.

Later when ZFR had a go at me for claiming early was the first time it occured to me that the claim might not have been necessary.

Still, I don't think a claimed commuter is as detrimental as ZFR made out.
OK, sounds fair. We'll see I hope it will help Town in a long run.

I believe we have a doctor who protected the first kill, and Lifthrasil tries to take credit for the block in order to confuse that.
But still, the mafia team is sure to be different, even if it's just the inclusion of another goon.
And really, how can we say? Pooka knows.
I think that we're dealing with that list but with some extra additions, later Pooka admitted that it's 12 players instead of 11 mentioning 3 Mafia players. Neutral Lift I don't understand, why Pooka even considered it but if it's the case does it mean we have another one? Also Lift's Bulletproof claim and 1-shot usage is a good explanation for no NK on N1, better than a random lucky Doctor's protection (or a Roleblocker if the list is wrong).

I hope not, I was making a joke. That would be super awesome for Lift and super dumb for everyone else if it was the case. I'd probably point a finger and Pooka and laugh at his poor judgement as a mod. But I don't find that likely. We're having fun!

If Lift is Jester, he has to be some sort of D3 Jester. There was nothing jesterish about his D1 and 2 actions.

Survivor-Jester. Live till D3 then be lynched. Is that a thing?

Theoretically, yes it could be. Adding a Day requirement to the Jester makes them play instead of going "I'M SCUM LULZ" on Day 1.

Bler's hospital game had such a jester. Off-hand, the only other Jester I can remember was in Yogsloth's Deep Smelly Dungeon 2 game, which aborted before Day 1 was over.

How?

If no one discusses PMs this won't even be an issue.

It's just there so that Mafia know how a good PM looks like. So a Townie can't town-clear someone who said that their Town PM mentioned icecream, which is only something Town would know.
