trentonlf: I’m ready

Ready
avatar
gogtrial34987: I had to go afk due to a real life emergency, which luckily turned out less bad than expected. I told Joe to be back in 2 hrs, but if he's still around, I think we should just do this, even with only one witness.
avatar
JoeSapphire: gogtrial's got to disappear for a while so we'll try again in two hoursish.
avatar
gogtrial34987: Hah, simultaneous post with the 2 hours thing; that in itself should be proof already. :D
ZFR, I saw this post and nothing was changed.
Yeah, FFS with the merge posting. :(
If ZFR modkills me, I most sincerely apologize, but it'd be justified.
If y’all are ready do the poem
Píseň by Josef Čapek

[line two] tichounce se rozeznívá,
[line three] o tom, co kdy krásné bylo,
[line four] o radostech, lásce zpívá,
[line six] vypravuje útěšlivá
[line ten] v jakých radostech jsme žili!
[line eleven] Dost už, dost však, hlase tichý,
[line fourteen] co štěstí jsme promarnili,

There's several "Píseň"s on that page; this is the second one after "Přátelům"
Píseň by Josef Čapek

[line one] Něžná píseň vzpomínán
[line five] o štěstí, jež uplynulo,
[line seven] něžná píseň vzpomínání.
[line eight (break)]
[line nine] Něžná písni vzpomínání,
[line twelve]s touhou tesknota se sdílí:
[line thirteen] nežaluj na dávné hříchy,
[line fifteen] něžná písni vzpomínání!

I was witness to the posts, they were simultaneous.
For those who weren't there: archive.org capture of the moment (better than a screenshot, as I don't think this can be faked in any way).
bookwyrm - you're somewhat forgiven: I got a lot of satisfaction from that.

Woo-hoo! We're awsome!
I caught that as both posts turned about a minute old.
and now the archive.org link without triggering any gog.com forum bugs (I hope):

flubbucket: Vote: Vitek
avatar
JoeSapphire: really? why?
Gut feeling.

When I ISO him it feels like he's scummy.

I would encourage a read of his posts to see how wrong I am.

Is that Vitek by himself, or also taking Poppy into account?

gogtrial34987: Is that Vitek by himself, or also taking Poppy into account?
Just Vitek.
From Poems from concentration camp. Interesting choice. :-)
avatar
JoeSapphire: Is this what we might expect from Hypersomniaclive? I kind of imagined if he was a mafia going down he'd be all calm and confident and rise above it. But I have no basis for that. Does he tend to flip out when danger looms?
I'm not sure which I find more amusing, that you think I've lost control of myself, or at least say so, or that you're asking Vitek of all people.

avatar
JoeSapphire: [...] I'm not sure what your point is, but you might just have to agree that lovers are more harmful to town than masons. [...]
Let's wait for gogtrial34987 to answer my question from post #925, shall we?

As for your post #959, you give thoughts on the ones you suspect less/the least, but as we go up that list, none of what you say counts as a reason to suspect anyone, let alone make them your most suspect ones. If this is deliberate, what are you aiming at?

avatar
Vitek: [...] Hm, good question. Maybe they argued more? I actually am not sure. Perhaps it was just a feeling or I saw something when reading through the game but I can't remember it now. [...]
Apparently we're at a junction where FoS and accusations based on "hmm, good question, but I'm actually not sure/can't remember" are perfectly fine.

avatar
Vitek: [...] That you don't have any inclination this deep into game is quite problematic, ain't it? [...]
It'd be if I were exclusively trying to figure out if the Lovers claim's true or false, and only then went to get reads on the rest. But this isn't the case, is it? I even said that the reads I already have on the rest of you is the factor that weighs the most in me thinking the claim could be true.

avatar
Vitek: [...] The game is not moving much and that is no fun and reads are not something I am expecting form you anymore (you said yourself you have no inclinations so far) so there is no reason not to move things a bit. [...]
Pushing for my lynch, when you either know it's a mislynch, or should entertain the chance it may be, if you don't know it for a fact, isn't exactly moving things a bit, especially since you say you've run the numbers.

avatar
Vitek: [...] But it is not unusual to see mafia behave like that. And town sometimes too. [...]
Heh.

avatar
Vitek: [...] :-(
Sad but true. [...]
*spots the cutting out of the "he's cunning" part*

Heh.

avatar
Vitek: [...] I made a list going through all possibilities I could think of at the start of the Day but then I decided it could give mafia ideas so I posted ito nly in my personal quickchat. So it's not like I don't care, I just haven't gone public with it. :-) [...]
I always love it when people appear to underestimate the mafia, especially in mid-to-end game.

avatar
Vitek: I think I posted it here already but the best time to lynch one of them was Yesterday. We would know right away and there would still be chance to rectifiy it properly if it was a miss.
I've run your ISO twice, you didn't. You asked a couple of questions, then said you're a sucker for claims. There's also the "Will be prolly willing to go with Ix" (post #779), which later turned into being forced to lynch the absent Ixamyakxim (post #795). Perhaps because you'd given him town cred for supplementscene going after him D1 (post #557), which made you reluctant to vote for him (post #661). But perhaps it was his post #655 that had you think you'd be better off being reluctant, and at the end off wagon, as in the end, you voted him after he was hammered - same as with suppleemntscene on D2, because back then it took you more than an hour to type your post #520, or so you claimed. And perhaps Ixamyakxim's flip served its purpose - supports your read on SirPrimalform regarding supplementscene self-preserving on him EoD1 (post #841), and thus perhaps makes your reads overall look credible.

Bookwyrm627: Did I need anything else? [...]
Apparently you think you don't.

avatar
Bookwyrm627: [...] It is something of an advertising thing.

Assume that ZFR made the sign up thread before rolling to determine the exact setup. That means he's got the twist in mind, but if it is related to the rolls (like masons become lover masons), then there is no guarantee that the twist is actually in the game at all.

However, if he rolls first (before making the sign up thread or advertising the twist), he could then play with the setup some after seeing what he's working with, and he'll be able to declare that a twist is actually in the game.
He first advertised his game back in late July:
Semi-open setup for me. C9++ with a twist if I can get that many players, and if comod confirms twist won't cause blancing issues.
What does that tell you?

trentonlf: [...] 2. I don’t think I can remember a game in the past where gogtrial was scum and I’m not sure how he would actually play it, and so I don’t know if his scum game is close to his town game. My point though was that if he had been playing like Joe I would say he’s probably scum.
Hmm... heh.

avatar
gogtrial34987: [...] Thanks.
Doing an ISO on trentonlf, I noticed this. It's your reply to him after he answered your bussing question. Any particular reason you didn't follow up with him like you did with Vitek and me?

And I'm still waiting for your replies.
