Vitek: Damn you. In my first post that got deleted I had question for you why not him and now you ninja'ed me. :-)

I am still somewhat unsure about him but I feel like there was too much asking around and not knowing what's going and feel like it is an act to avoid any scrutiny. Then there I things I mentioned in the past.
-Fearmongering and trying to limit lynch options to 2 people D1
- his big misrep of Bookwyrm that BW himself dissected on D1.
Since then? I don't know he just seem to be fumbling around ending with him helping lynch SPF for "strange approach" to the game while thinking SPF is town (at least that's what he says in the case against me he said he made but couldn't post "last night" - at the time he posted it - which incidentally was around the time he voted SPF) and acussing me of trying to mislynch SPF (when I was trying to reconsider SPF and asked people to not rush with his lynch) in his case full of misreps and selective cherrypicking.
Sure, that last part might be a bit OMGUSy from me (in it's literal sense) but I am just human. :-)

So, looking at it, there is not that much of it when I look over it now and he can very well just be clueless and not knowing to do and I am kinda inclined toward it as most of the time there actually doesn't seem to be much of malevolent intent but there is also the part of me that, in case he is scum, doesn't want to be ashemd by letting someone letting win that way.
And maybe I am just petty and want at least of my former horrible reads to be true.

Anyway, while I still think he is likely mafia suspect, he is not my prefered lynch until something changes. But he is not someone I trust.
Why is he on your town pile and why is Hunter?
I liked how Hunter acted when he came into the game, he felt like he was really trying to figure out what was going on. He made his reads and voted without waiting around to see how everyone reacted to his reads. He also didn’t jump on the SPF wagon when he could have to push the lynch t stayed with who he felt was the best candidate for scum.

Supplementscene is actually not in my town pile, I wanted to see your reaction to me saying he was as I’ve been back and forth on both of y’all on whether y’all are town or scum. The issues you have with him I totally agree with, and then the thought hits me that he’s new and might not really know how the game works. Of course to me someone wanting to play should research as much as possible what the game is about and not jump in blindly and continue to act like you don’t have a clue as to what’s going on half the time, but I can’t assume he’s done anything to see how the game is played. But as I said he’s not really in my town pile, I wanted your reaction to him being in my town pile. The feeling I get from your reaction is a townie trying to figure it out, the same feeling I get from Hunter.

Before I vote I want to hear what Hunter has to say.
I'm not sure about Scene. His rowing back from the SPF wagon and trying to shift the lynch to Vitek when it was already too late looked strange. Was he trying to distance himself from the SPF wagon while laying the ground-work for accusing Vitek on the next Day? Or is he just an eager towny who thinks he figured something major out? In any case his attack on Vitek does not feel like distancing. It's too detailed and too much actual re-reading. It looks like Scene really does believe that he figured Vitek out. The question is, is he right?

Hunter: I had the idea that he might be SPF's scumbuddy. But now that SPF flipped town, that connection evaporated. So currently I don't think we should lynch him, since we have to be sure today!

Vitek: as I noticed yesterday, the main reason why I was convinced that Vitek is town was that I felt, that SPF's attack on him was bogus. But with SPF being town we know that his attack on Vitek wasn't scum trying to get a townie mislynched. Sure, Vitek wasn't on the SPF mislynch wagon ... but it's usually prudent for scum to not put all eggs in one basket (train) and leave the mis-lynching and hammering to town. So maybe Vitek was the scum off the wagon?

Flubb: flubby and unreadable as always. But usually he becomes more useful in late-game. So, flubb, start analyzing more! Share your insights! ... Or do you WANT us to mislynch again? In any case flubb is a possible lynch candidate for today. Currently I think the scum team is either flubb+Vitek or flubb+Scene.

But I noticed something completely different: the nightkill descriptions on page 1 are different. Bookwyrm was devoured. Yogs was beaten to death and adalia was devastated. Devastated might be the same as beaten to death. But devoured is a quite different MO. Are there Pokemon-types that devour their targets? Or does the flavour of the deaths not mean anything?
Posting quick thoughts through my phone so it’ll be brief. I don’t like how last day ended, I’d have liked some more discussion there. Also we weren’t even too close to deadline or nothing. I need to go over game with new flips info in mind, a bit tired now so I’ll do that tomorrow morning. Still find it weird that they RB'd Trent twice in row instead of just killing him because even if he can't use his cop power he would still be a confirmed townie and hence a threat to them. Could be wrong though, haven't played games with multiple RBs and claimed cop.

I was wondering why they have blocked me twice as well. My thoughts are that scum are hoping to kill any more power roles we might have since they know they can block me, and it makes me look bad for still being alive after two nights have passed with me not dying since I revealed I was the cop. Makes me an easy frame for scum.

Not really. I mean you revealed the first scum without any kind of pressure. Such a voluntary bus out of the blue would be very bold and too risky. So even if you're not confirmed 100% and even if letting you alive gives them the chance to throw some dirt at you, we're not going to lynch you over that. Not at MYLO, where everyone will be careful to lynch the one with the highest chance of being scum. Not the one with the lowest chance. ... And if that really was their motive to leave you alive, they would now have to push in that direction. For example by pointing out that it does look strange.

...wouldn't you agree, Hunter?
VOTE VITEK - the evidence is all below. Even Scum are throwing him under the bus by eliminating Adalia who he was just bickering with. FFS town if you want to win re-read the whole thread yourselves like I've done and focus on the interaction between Mchack, Vitek and Lift. As a team we've messed up. I don't think any remaining town players bothered to read my post that was an analysis of the whole thread. Mchack's last action before he was busted was to vote for SirPrimalform. Why the hell didn't we notice that sooner????? Why because we're not going back and reading with hindsight. All the evidence is there.

Also look how all 3 treat the known town players. Question how they've treated you. Lift I'm only 80% sure about but his last post gave him away. He knows Vitek is going down and is now playing distancing. This Lift is far more aggressive than the Liberal (Town) Lift in Secret Mafia.

I'm re-posting my post that took a day reading through this thread to put together:

I’m 99.9% sure VITEK is SCUM, ATTACK VITEK. I’ve re-read the whole thread (well concentrating with certain posters Mchack interacted with) with the benefit of hindsight and Vitek looks very much like Mchack’s buddy. This is long but if you're town please read:

On Page 3 Mchack makes an issue over Yogs voting for Vitek. Is he defending a buddy?
Then this:
avatarZFR: ...
But there is more. I wanted to see other's reactions. If this was T-T going at each other mafia would be having a field day with it. They could easily push one wagon at D1 and then when that flips town go after the other one at D2. But nothing like this happened.
avatarmchack: By that logic the zfr vs. trent debate should not be T-T either because I don't see mafia having a field day there either. If that were true and both should be regarded probably T-W then who's the more likely W in that equation? Both Lift and Trent or only you?
Do you think T-T is possible and no one cares? Do you think W-W is possible and no one cares? Do you really think T-W is the only possibility if no one cares much?
So W is Wolf apparently, so Scum. Is Mchack defending Trent or saying one or both him Lift could be Scum? These could be 3 townees he's trying to set up or perhaps there’s a wolf there.
Mchack then has a little discussion about Yogs hint at a role. If Scum have an investigator they probably investigated him that night or the next.

On page 4 Mchack pits ZFR against Yogs, who we know are both town. Lift also jumps on the Yogs wagon claiming it was a wagon but only myself Scene and Mchack had hit Yogs at this stage.
avatarVitek: flub - his usual safe, that doesn't tell me his alignment but I have no reason to suspect him so far
trentonlf - same as flub
Bookwyrm - didn't like how coy he was with his reasoning. not much towny in that but nothing too damning
Lift - seem a bit similar to last game where he was scum but right now I am not feeling the same scum vibe for some reason right now
ZFR - kinda same as last game too. "They" thing gives me no reads by itself but his dragging Lift into the issue and then denying it feels off.
Vítek - posts very little and missed 2 days. dumbo town
yogs- tries too hard to pose as non-harmful townie.
mchack - not sure if I ever played with him as town. He seems cool so far but that could easily change
SPF - I... don't remember anything from him. I suppose his avatar made him invisible.
So Vitek is now criticising townee Yogs. I Scene considered him suspicious partly because of others arguments and because a lack of analysis from Yogs. But these 3 players in Vitek/Lift/Mchack are going quite hard after are townee Yogs who didn't really do anything suspicious. It is round 1 and you have to jump on anything. But could there be team play with an inadvertent townee along for the ride?

Oh and then Mchack quotes Vitek and tells Vitek that he forgot him in the end analysis. Why is this important to Mchack? Is he telling Vitek ‘don’t just go after town and don’t forget to distance’?Vitek replies saying neither Mchack or Lift ‘fit a category’

avatarmchack: oh, ok. missed that lift was also missing. guess that's ok then, as long as I'm not singled out :)
.............
sorry for my pointless post then.
Now tell me Mchack isn’t giving a teammate a shove here….

Onto Page 5, Scene panics thinking no lynch will happen because he miscounted the numbers needs. Or is Scene Scum trying to lynch a certain townee? Mchack is sympathetic of the newbie or is he protecting a teammate? Vitek, Trent, Lift and Sage are suspicious of Scene. But Vitek does this without actually quoting Scene’s post, making it harder for Scene to see and respond to. At the time I commented that this could be Scummy behaviour.

Mchack then accuses Lift’s suspicion of supplementscene as being Scummy. Now he is either setting up Lift here or distancing and I think it maybe the latter because both were on the early yogs wagon

On page 5 we also have a further short convo between Mchack and Vitek. Mchack says he thinks Vitek is probably town in post 247.

Post 310, Yogs votes Vitek. Is this what sealed Yogs fate? Post 332, Vitek says his preferred votes are Scene, then Yogs, then ZFR. I know all 3 are Town, other townees know 2 to be. Possibly not as Yogs reveals his role in post 410. They know Trent will be protected if there’s a doctor so they kill Yogs and roleblock Trent.

Post 326 Vitek wants ZFR to reveal his role and reveal who his lover is if indeed. He then analyses who it can’t be. Is this scum play? I think so. If we all gave ZFR a break Vitek still wants to know who the lover is. Surprised no one picked this up. Adalia also gets involved in this chatting to Vitek about it.

Post 397 – Mchack picks SPF as his prime suspect. Does this mean SPF is town and we shouldn’t lynch him? I think so right now. Now no one has picked up so maybe I’m the only one re-reading?

Post 417 – Vitek also votes SPF (well makes the case for it and votes a couple of posts later). So does Scene and Adalia. SPF has lurked so I went with the consensus but Mchack and Vitek were first on the SPF wagon.

Post 463 - Vitek says "MChack - only person I couldn't remember while making list. I felt like he was trying earlier but I have lsot sight of him. Kinda scummy." – really after all your conversations with him you didn’t remember him? Have you been told to distance yourself during night chat Vitek?

Also made 2 false claims about myself Supplementscene. Says he did so because “Doing too many thing and remmebring it backwards. “

Post 494 – Yogs states his votes were Vitek and MChack

Post 490, 495 and 500 – Vitek talking nonsense and claiming Yogs has more towncred now. Is he panic posting? Attempts at Distancing from Mchack? I think so.

Post 542 - 3 - SirPrimalform is being attacked by Vitek, adaliabooks & Lifthrasil – I think we have 2 scum players here, voting the same way as Mchack. They’re not going for distancing here imo

Post 553 – Vitek claims to have re-read the thread and claims Mchack talked to likely townees more than others, ie SPF. However he fails to note Mchack voted for SPF prior to. Mchack probably changed his vote to Mchack so the polling wouldn’t show that he originally voted for SPF.

In the last few pages Adalia and Vitek have chatted a great deal. They are accusing each other of being scum. I have a feeling this could be distancing but I’m not sure. If Adalia isn’t the third scum buddy I think Lift is likely.
@all; Was any of you roleblocked N1?

Why I am inclined to believe Hunter is not mafia is because he is attacking uncounterclaimed cop.
I think that if he replaced into mafia role in the position he did, there would be much more convenient course of action to pursue.
I guess they could be buddies and Hunter would be wasting vote that way, knowing ther is little danger of actual lynch but I find it quite far-fetched and am not going to entertain that thought.

I have a guess what mafia flub is going to do know and wonder if it will happen.

Yep, Lift if mafia.

Not going to vote Hunter and then throwing shade his way 3 posts later.
After flub was mentioned as likely scum by two people he tells us how flub is useful late game and how he should start analysing ASAP.

Why should we bother with flavour of the kills right now, LIft?
Does it tell you something that there are different descriptions of kills?
Frankly I would be disappointed if Joe gave away mafia that way after making their true Pokemon quite safe from being outright scummy (at least I judge so from mchack's flip).

You think scene put real effort into his case and it feels like he truly believes it but you are not sure what side he is on?

@supplement;
You say you spent a day on that case, may I ask what day it was?
Was it after your SPF vote or before it?
WHen you went to re-read the thread with what intent you started it?
avatar
Vitek: Fuck this, I lost my post.

Trent, you still haven't answered my question about RB flavour and if you were specifically told you were RB'ed.

As I mentioned last night my main suspect by far right now is flub. Look as his play before the lynch. How he suddenly became active and quickly even pulled the old post of SPF to sway people to lynch him.
I t felt very strongly as mafia taking the opportunity and trying to get the slowly moving wagon to its destination.

...............
This is absolute horseshit!

Your use of words in order to spin this into complete misrepresentation is incredibly scummy.

"suddenly" ... "sway people"

I will state your alleged role blocking the past two nights is suspicious. However I don't think you're scum. For the record, if you are scum then well done. You've fooled me completely.

Regarding supplementscene, you're allowing yourself to think too emotionally.

He voted SirPrimalform. He then posts an impassioned post stating he's 99.9% sure Vitek is mafia. No Unvote or acknowledgement of the lynch or anything. What was the purpose??

Vitek ...you're trying really hard to look town aren't you??

flubbucket: "suddenly" ... "sway people"
Show me exactly where I was whipping up votes and manipulating the weak minds to do my bidding
Suddenly because you were not exactly an etalon of activity or making case before that and you came with crucial vote at the moment where I was off the wagon and not many other people expressed their will to move it. Supplement's vote made it relevant at the moment and your brought it right into the center of attention and led to mislynch very soon.

Sway by the other post of yours by finding that "troubling" post. It was fairly old post and you posted it only minutes after your vote and it felt a lot like attempt to convince someone to seal the SPF's fate.

avatar
flubbucket: I will state your alleged role blocking the past two nights is suspicious. However I don't think you're scum
If he is not scum why is it suspicious?

avatar
flubbucket: Vitek ...you're trying really hard to look town aren't you??
I don't have to. It comes with my alignment. ;-)
You know why people usually look town? Because they are.
avatar
Vitek: @all; Was any of you roleblocked N1?
Yogsloth claimed to have been blocked and since he flipped town, I do believe him. You should remember that. You were there and aren't one of the subs. ... How come you don't remember it? Can it be that you were following the game only loosely because you don't actually have to scum-hunt?

avatar
Vitek: Why I am inclined to believe Hunter is not mafia is because he is attacking uncounterclaimed cop.
What? I don't understand this sentence. I mean, I don't understand it grammatically. Could you rephrase what you mean?

For me, trent is confirmed town. I have a solid reason for that, which I won't state yet. But yes, I had the suspicion that scum left him alive to make him look bad. And if that suspicion was right, they would have to come out and start pointing out that surviving makes trent look strange. And look what Hunter did. Moreover, you hurry to his defense. Interesting.

And you seem to like misrepresenting what I wrote. I pointed out that flubb is USUALLY more active and useful in late game as contrast to this one. And yes, I asked him to contribute more because when he starts to write coherent stuff, he can also be better analyzed.

But maybe you're right on the kill flavour. Probably it's nothing. It's just something I noticed as difference between the NKs and the lynches. The lynches are all identical. I don't know what to make of it. Perhaps it's just pure fluff. But if I notice something, however small, I mention it (unless there is a good reason to hold it back).

And yes, I think Scene put effort in his analyzis. That does make him look town. But the fact that it came post-hammer and he even continued after nightfall makes him look off. So I'm not sure where to place him yet. ... But he may be on to something concerning you. After all you didn't really respond to the points he raised in his extensive analysis. You just shot some questions back. Why?

Edit before posting: I see flubb has finally started to discuss and you have written some more stuff. I'll get to reading that in a moment. But I'll first post this, otherwise it will become a mamoth post.

Right. Sure. Anyone looking town is town. Scum never tries to look town. That's why mis-lynches never happen. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) This is a very strange sentence from an experienced player! (no, this was not sarcasm)

The exchange between you and flubb is interesting. Maybe you're right and flubb was the lynchpin that led to SPF's death. But maybe flubb is right and you try to twist things to make him look bad. Hmm.

Yog claimed to have failed in blocking Sage, trent claimed to not be able to get out of his cage, Hunter (formerly Sage) hinted on being commuter. That's more in line with failing the NA.

avatar
Lifthrasil: What? I don't understand this sentence. I mean, I don't understand it grammatically. Could you rephrase what you mean?
Hunter more likely to be town than mafia IMO? Reason --> He attacked claimed cop. As mafia there would be better targets to pursue.
FFS! Post merge! I didn't wait long enough.

1. To be precise, yogs said 'it appears I have been role-blocked'. You're right that he didn't know it for sure. But we also heard from trent that he didn't explicitly get the statement that he was blocked. So why are you asking?

2. I disagree. Sure, scum would know that they can't get a un-counterclaimed cop lynched. But it is in their interest to throw as much doubt on a confirmed towny as possible. Which Hunter did. Right now the fact that trent is confirmed is more dangerous to scum than the fact that he is a cop, who keeps getting blocked. Or commuted, if we follow your reasoning.

Flub, do you think Lift is mafia?
avatar
Lifthrasil: FTFY ;-)
avatar
Vitek: Why?

Do you think more players that look towny are town or mafia?
1) Why? --> Why not? Without the 'don't' that sentence looks much more truthful! ;-)

2) Good question. I think that's rather correlated with skill than with alignment. Good players will more often manage to look towny than not so good players. But purely by looking at the statistics of games we can see that more townies than scum get lynched. So, apparently townies do often look scummy to other townies. And scum apparently often manage to look towny. Again, you should know that. You are experienced.
