sasuke12: I am in and thanks for the giveaway feminist gamer. +1
I bought Aquanox 1 and 2 on gog sale.
After a few months I decided to install and play both games.
Aquanox 1 does not work on Windows 8 even though the requirements state that it does.
I could not ask gog for refund because the time limit was up for refund. It had been a few months after all.
Aquanox 2 on the other hand cant be played with any gaming mouse bought after 2012. It only works with old school mouses or just the basic logitech ones. That was a bummer too.
That is all.
My gaming mouse works with Aquanox 2 just fine, and every other game ever made back to the 1980s. Logitech G600, fully programmable with keyboard emulation. I can program any button on it to serve any purpose in any game either direct mouse buttons, or emitting keystrokes or macros. If it's not working for you then more likely than not your mouse software is not automatically switching profiles to the game when it loads. If that happens with Logitech hardware you can set the mouse profile to lock while the game is loaded and if that doesn't work you can temporarily set the profile as persistent before launching the game. Presumably other company's mouse software have similar features, if not I'd say buy better mice - buy Logitech. :)
Oh, I forgot to mention - contact GOG support for help getting Aquanox 1 to work, or try the game specific forum here which someone may have reported a similar issue and found a solution already. I've had great results with GOG support, the game specific forums here, and Google.
Hope this helps.
