I'd love to see an alternate rating for games other than users ratings... perhaps metacritic?
My reason for this is simple: People get overexcited for games they have great nostalgic feelings for - myself included!
mac support via cider or crossover.
thx

Rep points for posting a solution. ;-)
[edit] perhaps I posted too soon? In the thread I posted the solution, it shows me with a Rep of zero, even after an F5 and Ctrl+F5, yet in this thread is shows a rep of 3? I don't get it.

1) I'd like to see gog buy up some games not able to be played on win xp/98/vista and work out some emulation built in so I don't have to use dosbox or scummVM or even a collaberation with them. of course getting lucas arts into the gog-catalogue would make me buy ALL of them again. then it would be ace to get the gog-installer or just the original files for the scumm engine so one can choose how to play it
2) widescreen support (proper scaling or letterboxing) for the good old games either already in the installer or as a "expert" option via your account or through a link.
e.g. the widescreengaming forum issued a patch for FALLOUT to support widescreen.
Can we get a sort of status where it says something like 'Gamer Type' and you get a whole dropdown list of options!? (This is kind of like from deviantart.com where they have deviant type). Also can we get gypsy in the gender options, i mean you got pirate and ninja and jedi!
Suggestions:
Gamer of many talents
Personal Gamer
Badass Gamer
Sly Wise Guy
Etc.
Gift system is good, thanks for that. Seems to work fine from what I can tell
I'm not sure what exactly is messaged to the giftee's email address, but I think it would be good to add a small custom message of some sort, maybe along with a few prepared message (like happy birthday, merry christmas etc)
How about a "Continue Shopping/Shopping Cart" option where you can continue shopping without going back and forth between the checkout page and the catalog?
I don't know if this has been said before.
Compatibility database app.
A small lightweight app that gathers system info from the computer, matches it up with minimum requirements/known incompatibilities, and gives you a list of games that will/won't work on that system, and why.
Inspired by My lappy and fallout 2.
Personal wishlist or an ability to mark a game as 'want to buy'
This will become more and more convenient as more games get added. It may take several sessions to browse through all your games, and some people may not be able to buy a game as soon they see it because of budget constraints.
Rainbow six would be nice
Allow me to select where in the starmenu the gog installer adds links, please. I have a specific folder for games - moving the installed games there means I have to remove them manually after un-installing.
It's not a big thing, but a nuisance regardless :).

The possibility of saving game titles in a favourites-list. Or, alternatively, save one or more shopping carts.
Also, the minimum system requirements are hard to find and hard to read, imho.
