I mentioned this in another thread just now, but am reposting it here to make it an "official" request:
The GOG launcher for DOSbox that allows you to choose your renderer is a nice touch, but it could use two things, IMO:
A "windowed/fullscreen" checkbox or dialog, and a "windowed resolution" dropdown. I know that DOSbox can scale the window regardless of the program's original native resolution if you use the right renderer, but I've had little luck getting it to blow up my old games to 1024x768 by manually editing the dosbox.conf file.
I run my desktop at 1600x1200 and would prefer not to lower the res every time I want a windowed game to be readable.

this may not be a need that GoG.com needs to fill, but it would be very nice if you could see what people are playing a game (perhaps not who but at least that people are playing) and have the ability to join the game.
I love that feature in steam and in xbox live..
it would be exceedingly helpful in this service with games that don't have such a strong online community, otherwise games with even functioning multiplayer may become useless to some people because no one is ever playing at the same time they want to play, or if they are playing they have no way of knowing.
Anyway, again, there are work arounds like 'lol just post in thread.' or etc, but a simplified (you could even make it browser based) way of monitoring servers for games, would be really fantastic.

While it might not be so important now, an Update notification or something similar might be needed in the future. Whenever a game that you have purchased has an update, you are notified when you log on to your account.
From the game I have purchased and some of the comments I have read, many of the good old games use DOSBox. Are the games going to be updated when DOSBox 0.73 or even 1.0 is released? I have been using DOSBox for quite a while and each release seems to have a noticeable improvement on some games. For instance, the Build engine games such as the Redneck Rapage Collection run much better in .72 than say .70 so it's not unreasonable to expect them to run better when the next version is released too.

Can you all make the dosbox thing a bit more brainless by adding a front end and having it pre-configured for the games you sell/support? Especially so that the most likely configurations are already set for the user (pre-configured).
Also add a vote to hosting mods directly on the site.
On the Freespace games perhaps including FreespaceOpen as part of the install?
Lastly - any luck on getting the source code as I originally read about on Shacknews?

I apologize if someone has posted about this already, but, with the size of some of these game installers, has any thought been given towards maybe offering bittorrent files for the larger games? All it would take is a few seeders to really speed up the time it takes to acquire your new game.

You should have a system in place that automatically credits your account for one free game after every ten or so games you buy. Or have a monthly drawing of accounts to give away free games. Might be nice for the community.

I know this has probably been mentioned but I'd like better descriptions on the game pages. For example, the Fallout description is great. It tells the setting of the game in the first 2 paragraphs and the last one describes the gameplay. The same is true of the Hostile Waters page. Some pages, however, give little to no information about what you'll be doing in the game. The page for Giants: Citizen Kabuto just tells you the setting of the game. The page for Sacrifice does the same. I know there are the genre descriptors in the overview section, but more detail would be much appreciated.

I'd like to see a reason why I got repped, I don't know/remember where my post was tagged as the solution, so a link (perhaps personal only) would be nice, might get in the way if you have over 50 or something though, hahaha.
also, I'd like the ability to put a link or a small biography attached to my profile so that people can get my aim address and etc without having to waste a whole post time and again with my contact information, if necessary, as well as a private messaging system.

I think we need to have my avatar as the default avatar in place of the silhouette!

Hello, I already mentioned this in MDK forum but I think it is more general issue.
I like original games in a box more than this electronic delivery. I'd like to have something physical for a good I pay for. However, it seems that electronic delivery is the only option how to get these Good Old Games:-) And I am happy the option is here.
Anyway, what I do is that I burn a game on CD (burning also on the label CD side with LightScribe) and I'll put it to DVD case to fit into my collection.
So, a CD/DVD media and CD/DVD case pictures added to already good downloadable stuff would be great.
