I also have to join in and say a Windowed mode for these games would be most awesome.

Dimidium: My Wish: To have a wish list :-p It would be nice to add games to a wish list if you want to buy them but don't have the money now, and want a bunch like I do.

Definitely this, great if you are just browsing...

miwi: *) Post count on the forums. Hey, I like to know how many posts I've written :p And I like to see who are the people who are the most addicted :p

Sweet Mother Gaia! Perish the thought! Post count would lead only to a situation in which there is a growing number of inconsiderate users spamming the forums with offtopic messages so their count is greater than the next guy's.
Oh, indeed, this would lead to a tremendous suffering among the users who care for the quality of the dialogue. I beg you, fair lady, perish the thought!

AngryMcGrew: How about video reviews?

UK_John: See my thread on You Tube links in the meanwhile....! (General Discussions)

Thanks very much dude!
An actual feature request from me, this time, would be to make the search feature search within posts and not just against post topics. I've seen a question asked in the Fallout forums that I believe was answered, but I can't find the topic that might contain the answer as the search won't go within posts, just across topics, and many of the question topics are generically named.
Since the forums right now are small, it's not fairly difficult to start stepping through all the topics, but over time, it will be.

I'm sure it's been said, but a link from the game's page to it's corresponding forum would be great.
Not sure if it was already requested, but a download menu (like the one under My Account) on the game page of a game you already bought would be nice.
I'm probably going to sound like a bit of a broken record (I haven't read all of the other posts in this thread sorry!), but it would be great if there was more intergration between the games being sold and the community.
Not just by linking the forums with the page you can by the game from; but by creating a bit more of a hub type system where you can access user made faqs/walkthroughs, user made content (Or unoffical patches), servers for online play etc...
It would be quite cool as well if there was even a ladder system for multiplayer games as well.
I guess the main problem with this sort of intergration would be the amount of work that would need to go into it. So it may only be possible for the more popular games (Such as the Fallout and Descent series) if it's to be worthwhile.
Also if there were to be servers for multiplayer games they would once again have to be really popular as well, or even be supported someone who would want to sponsor/host it.
I guess the main reason why I'm looking at community based ideas is that GoG has that sort of potential. Because lets face it, not everyone is keen on older games, and those who are are usually want to let as many people know about it.
The ability to play on linux would be great...of course there is wine and such but even with older games there tend to be problems with that....considering that many new netbooks use linux I think it would be a good idea. I for one would like to have fallout on my aspire one =)
Maybe we could get a new "other OS" subforum for GOG. I doubt GOG staff can spare the time, but if some of us band together and document how to get wine/dosbox/etc running with gogs we'll be able to get to that without straining GOGs resources.
Another idea would be a user-provided "other OS hints" sticky in the respective game subforums.
Of course, there's always the winehq appdb, but that's complicated and not really GOG-specific, which is kind of what we're aiming for here.
What about a method of manually adding games to your collection. For example - I already own fallout, fallout 2 from before GOG, and it would be good if they didn't appear in lists when I was browsing for new games to buy, it would make seeing what I would be interested easier, especially for the 'recommended' section. At the moment, the reocmmended section recommends games I already own, and I'd be genuinely interested in recommendations outside of those that I own!

volrath: Would be nice, also, to include the cover of each game in the download section a jewel cd case shape, for example. So we buy the games, we burn them and we print the cover for our cds.

Great Idea, i love it :) It's so obvious :)
I'd like to be able to choose where to install games, and where to put shotcuts like all good and professional software usually do.
Also I'd like to see all original file in the game folder and not only the one that GOG choose. For example other versione exe. This could help to solve issue with games or let people use them for other uses like modding and similar.
I got another one. How about themes for the site? Gray on gray on gray is nice and all, but maybe one or two other color schemes. You don't necessarily have to change the layout, but having a little choice with regards to the color scheme would be nice.
Forgive me if some of this has been mentioned before, I don't really have time to read 10 pages of stuff :)
More payment options would be nice, but I understand there's probably merchant fees involved. I'd really like to use my Discover, as that's our normal usage card.
Selective forum activity RSS feeds. Perhaps a 'forum activity for games i own,' or just individual feeds for each topic that we can pick and choose from. I'm too lazy (and busy :( ) to poke around in yet another forum for new posts, I'd rather have it delivered up to my feed-ing trough so I can graze in my spare minutes like I do everything else.
