The next game in the 30th Birthday promo will be OG Splinter Cell. It will be available from the 13th July.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time looks like it will still be available until then. If you want it, grab it before Sam Fisher knocks it off.

The original Splinter Cell? I played that on PS2 back in the day but never on pc. I wonder if it'll work on winblows 10.
Hitman > Metal Gear Solid > Splinter Cell

Just saying. :)

But I can't turn down a free stealth action game!

Aside from Ubisoft utilizing some of the most ridiculous DRM features ever created... They brought me the Settlers games. I can't hate on em.

But I will 'NOT' buy Settlers 7 or Anno 2070 until this is fixed.

(Unless it's on sale at a reasonable price.) LOL
If they give away Might & Magic X one month, I'll consider it...I know, I know, I'm really really old school in my games, but that's the only uPlay game I'm interested in.

skeletonbow: In terms of features, functionality, stability and all around code quality though, the Steam client IMHO is by far the best piece of software of the bunch.
Since you seem to know your Steam, how can I make the tiny text on the Steam client bigger? My desktop is 1920x1080 on a 17" screen, and the tiny text is quite hard to read, at least without glasses. I mean like the view where it lists my games, or all the options menus etc.

I have the same problem also within Team Fortress 2 ever since the latest update, as now the Community Servers are listed in a window with tiny text.

I don't want to use BIg Picture mode (isn't that a simplified interface for TV users?), nor do I want to lower my desktop resolution in order to make everything bigger on the screen.

Then again, I recall Galaxy having a similar issue, at least when viewing the GOG homepages through it. Why can't these clients have the same functionality to zoom the view like all web browsers do (or then that option is hidden somewhere)?

As for this Ubisoft offer... I might jump into it if they release something interesting (for free) that I don't already have on e.g. GOG. I see like 0 reason to obtain Sands of Time on UPlay, when I have a perfectly working version already elsewhere, especially one that doesn't require a client. The same thing like EA Origin offering Wing Commander games etc. for free.

Good for those who don't have those games yet, I guess.

Heh, they can stick their Uplay client and their "free" offers up their shitty ass, for what concerns me.

See if this helps.

The best thing it's that the only time you have to bother with the client it's to download the game.
At least in the PoP case, let's see what Ubi has on it's sleeve.

The "U" in UPlay stands for "Udon't" play.

Given how terrible the network system is, Uplay is not worth it.

Thanks for letting me know, and thanks neurasthenya for the wiki link.

It's not like I actually play the games. :) Just another one for the collection.
