Metro09: Good luck keeping people confined to that -- it's pretty obvious there are a couple of guys whose only interest is bitching about regional restrictions and/or bashing Steam/Impulse, etc. Funniest part is its the developers/publishers they need to be complaining to -- oh well, wouldn't want to deprive people of their little pet peeves otherwise they have nothing else to post about.

I don't think you can write this post if you don't live in USA, am I wrong?

Delixe: Maybe Nintendo can be persuaded to release the next Metroid game on the PC IP blocked only for activation in Japan. Oh the funneh.

Tantrix: Nintendo never copes with PC. Call me one PC game by Nintendo, and no, not that Mario face prog.

Donkey Kong got a PC port. ;)
Gamersgate weekend deal is Ceville 50% off ($12.49)
They also have 50%-80% sale (the actual discount depends on your member status) on King's Bounty: Armoured Princess and The Guild 2 Platinum.
Impulse: All Kalypso games are 33% off

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is 50% off on Steam. It's 25 to 30 gig download too. But is it any good?

Very good force controls, combat is kind of meh, and enemies are retarded. Other than that and the ridiculous amount of shit required to run it, I'd say maybe.
To answer my own question from a few pages back, i got Call of Cthulhu from D2D and it does work on Win7 64. Playing it right now @1920X1200 and it looks really good. Just arrived at Innsmouth and damn, this game is out there, uh ? Awesome!
I guess the well documented bugs are still there, but if anyone else was wondering about trying it with Win7, well, there you have it, it works.

Holy shit? 30 gigs on my harddrive? Another reason not to buy it (the other being I've bought more games than I need recently).

Is this the $4.95 Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth? If so - whats the DRM as it sounds like fun and is priced right.

I like it, but DMC3/4 is a better game if you don't already have it. I uninstalled TFU last month to make room for Dragon Age, but I seem to recall it only taking about 20gig (still huge, I know).
Thanks to a patch, the game performs better these days than when most of the reviews were written. It runs okay for me on an A64x2 4200 + Radeon 4770 combo (not a $4000 rig, lol).
Oh, in case anyone doesn't already know, TFU is nothing like Jedi Knight.

Yes, that's the one. It comes with a serial for online activation with D2D.
Be warned though, by all reports it's a bit buggy. I haven't been hit by any bug yet, but i'm guessing that's just because i'm not that far along.

Well, that 30 gigs is a much better deterrent for pirates than any copy protection ever will be.

It's also a good deterrent for purchasing too! Quick, sell the idea to Ubisoft!
As for the game, still not sure. I like the DMC series, so perhaps it'll be fun...

So the serial key is the only DRM? And it can be used multiple times on different downloads?

It is still not worth the price. Crappy PC port. I will buy it for $5 or $10.
