Hardly, there's nothing that warrants being called hentai/eroge on GOG. HuniePop is probably as close as it gets, and it's still not porn.. The VNs they sell here are either all-ages to begin with, or censored. Also they're not porn, even if you install an uncensoring patch; it's more like, you know, Hollywood movies usually have at least one fucking or making out scene, even if the movie is just about shooting monsters and blowing up cars. That's the kind of thing you might run into in these VNs.

Just found out about this game from your post. Immediately upon looking at the 1st screenshot I thought "Hey this game reminds me of..." and on the next screenshot I see Simon used as a dart-throwing target :)

Hate to be that guy, but if GOG wants to make sure that only quality gets on the store, I would hope they would be more critical of < 16 bit games.

I am reading Computer Games Magazine issues from the early/mid 90s on the archive website and have to laugh any time reviewers mention that a game's graphics are outdated. Those games look like they are from the future compared to most games being released here nowadays. Not asking for Ubisoft-quality graphics, but if we could limit new releases to games that look like they were made after the turn of the century, I would celebrate it.

Unfortunately, those games tend to get rejected more frequently than the next GameBoy-looking 2D Platformer that Nintendo Switch YouTubers are going to proclaim as the greatest game of the year because it's "emotional" and "challenging".

That is bizarre. I wonder what the reason for rejection was. Glad at least that it seems there is a DRM-free option to buy direct from developer.

I thought it was nothing else than the selling rates. GOG seems to have long abandoned any other reasons, many of those that were theirs from the start.

Regarding 8bit stuff, yes, I too feel that we have too much of it lately.

GOG is trying to position itself less as a seller of hardcore oldschool style games and more like a seller of pretentious arthouse indie "style over substance" type games.

Maybe they got tired of listing nearly identical games over and over... I actually liked Din's curse originally, but playing Zombasite felt nearly identical and I saw no reason to continue after finishing a few worlds and reaching around level 30.

Does anyone (especially Barry_Woodward) know if Vendetta - Cruse of Raven's Cry was rejected by GOG curators or TopWare Interactive didn't even try to release this game here?

It seems to me that it was rejected, because the latest DLC for Two Worlds II was released in 2017 and it's available on GOG. Vendetta was released two years before that DLC.

I tried to find out anything from TopWare Interactive support (it was about a month ago), but they didn't answer me.
