Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work (1991) (Linux/ScummVM)
Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! (1993) (Linux)

Larry 4 – not available here for some strange reason ;)
Larry 5 – I didn't like the game, I've quickly lost my patience and I just didn't want to repeat the same locations and actions again and again. I dropped the game; I coudn't even finish with walkthrough.
Larry 6 – oh, and this one was great surprise – in my honest opinion it's once again as good as first part of the series. I like the gameplay, graphics ;), I liked how the whole story is build on 6-7... tasks ;) which may be comleted separately, I liked the sense of humour and I really liked voice acting. I think even if you don't like archaic point&click adventures, GOG LSL 1-6 pack is worth buying just for LSL6.

List of all games completed in 2020.

It's hidden somewhere in Larry 5, but nobody's found it yet. :-P

So that's why half of the pack's screenshots on GOG are from LSL6.

I few days ago I completed Persona 5 Royal which is the remake of Persona 5 with additional content like Persona 4 Golden.

I really didn't care for the ending too much of Royal vs the Original. But I did like the additional content the game had though. I am not going to spoil the ending for those who want to play the game at some point down the road.

Also one of the Bosses is a giant pain in the ass. Hint it is one of the new ones.

Tomb Raider III

Propably the longest Tomb Raider in the series, each map takes at least hour, compared to other entries where you spend at best half of that time.

My first contact with TR3 was in '99 where I saw someone playing Coastal Village level, scenery looked amazing, and still is - level designers did a good job with available technology.

Didn't liked London levels - dark and maze-like. And then you get water section under museum (Lud's Gate) that's gonna give me nightmares for some time...

Final maps was decent with exception of water trial.
Late last night I've finished Crackdown (Xbox 360)

I got very Just Cause 2 meets Saints Row 4 vibes from it later in the game, and once I've unlocked higher agility, it became much more fun. Jumping from building to building, and roundhouse kicking cars never gets boring.
One complaint I had is that it had a rooster of licensed music but there's just no point - moving by car is much slower then just running around. Also retrieving cars back to the garage is a long and boring process (at least i couldn't figure out a way to find it fast and or fun) so I didn't bother at all. I've also terribly sucked at all the random events popping up around the city. I'm not sure if those are disproportionately difficult, I forgot to game due to the fairly long hiatus, my eyesight failing or the combination of those but I just gave up on them altogether.
Oh, collecting green orbs is VERY annoying as there are no markers where to look for, but are necessary for the game to progress and get more fun.

I quite liked the game overall, and for the price of free, well, it's even better.
Final Fantasy VII Remake

Seven isn't in my top 3 final fantasies, but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to play a remake. What the Hobbit films did with the Hobbit book, is what the remake has done with disc 1 of the original Final Fantasy VII, sections that lasted 10 minutes in the original now last an hour, one extreme example is the 1 minute between Cloud not wanting to work with Avalanche and then changing his mind has been stretched out into a 2 hour section with side quests and many cutscenes. The combat is very similar to Final Fantasy XIII, you have normal attacks, dodges and blocks, whilst an 'ATB gauge' builds up, once it builds up enough you can perform special abilities. Boss Fights are long, usually lasting between 10 and 30 minutes with multiple phases, almost every boss has phases turning these fights into epic battles. The story is linear, 4 of the chapters have side quests and 2 of them have arena like sections. Story Wise it follows like an extended version of the first part of 7, with the exception of these ghosts who keep popping up, are extremely annoying to deal with and are really only in it so the new ending can make sense.

Playing through this game I struggled to think how they were planning to finish it, seeing as the boss at the end of the Midgar section in the original was nothing special, I'm not going to spoil it, but you can make a reasonable guess at who/what the final boss is. I was pretty annoyed Red XIII isn't a playable character, he fights alongside the party as a guest. It isn't that difficult, the most annoying thing are the enemy attacks you have to dodge, and some of these attacks are very wide, 2 certain boss's near the end just spam these attacks and are infuriating to deal with. Like the Hobbit trilogy the game can seem drawn out in certain sections, when a cutscene show's an ongoing crisis, you don't want to be stuck doing a puzzle where you move trains around. Overall however it is a great game, fans of final fantasy will love it, my only concern is how they plan on making the sequels, given how long it took to make this one, the final part of the remake may end up being released on the PlayStation 6.
A legionary's life (Warning: includes some SPOILERS)

Nice game with fairly decent writing and much care for the historical setting, but the permadeath mechanic is a bit too harsh for me. It's not hard to finish the game successfully, if you play somewhat carefully, I did two successful runs (and several failed ones), with the second winning a civic and a mural crown and becoming centurio primus and quaestor in the epilogue. But I don't think I'll replay the game again and again to do all the optional duels, the risk of wasting hours is too high for me. Just did a run which went quite well (won two civic crowns and a mural crown) and tried to win the grass crown in the final phalanx fight...I got to the very last stage, the fight against the Thracian chieftain and his auxiliaries. My legionary was already pretty fatigued, but I still managed to kill the three auxiliaries. Also almost killed the chieftain, but he got me first :-( So my character died in the very last fight of the game. I get the intention behind the permadeath mechanic, certainly makes gameplay more intense...but also more frustrating.
Maybe I'll replay the game again some day, but I think for now I'll put it away, don't want to get into OCD about getting the perfect playthrough. But if you can resist that temptation, it's a fun little game.
My rating: 4/5.

Entry 10: Haunted Legends 12-Monstrous Alchemy(Collector's Edition, Windows 10-64Bit)

Another entry in the Hidden Legends series. Find the magical McGuffin and defeat the evil baddie...same as always, but decent enough regardless.

(Please forgive my lack of details this time...I finished it during my "vacation" and forgot some things between then and now)

Pros

The collections now seem to have a purpose.....one must use what seem to be jeweled fruit to buy costume pieces to use(once a costume is complete) on 2 separate CYOA style text based missions as a sort of subplot to the game itself.

Some NPCs(after talking to them once) can sometimes be clicked on to ask them more things.

More pieces of each scene can be clicked on to give a small bit of flavor text.

Cons-nitpicks

Small nitpick: The extras menus is a bit more basic looking than usual...likely due to rushing them out more quickly.

The games seem to be getting shorter over time(likely due to them releasing them after shorter periods).

*Spoiler*

No Saint Germaine...well at least in the storyline

*End spoiler*

Misc

Hidden object scenes now have tallies at the end of each, with stuff listed like # of clicks/time taken/etc. These can be disabled after the first one via a checkbox on the tally screen.

Overall I give it a 6.5/10....also decent, but not worth full price(as it and a few later series entries are short compared to early series entries), imo.
================================================================

Entry 11: Avencast(RPG, Windows 10-64 bit, Steam)

This is a nice(if a tad short) RPG with a cliched yet decently done plot: Learn magic at a magic school, fight a terrible evil, and save the day/world.

That said, it is done very well in some aspects so I enjoyed it enough.

Pros

Nice attack effects, musical score.

Some interesting(if sometimes cliched) characters/NPCs.

Decent enemies(mostly) to fight, and areas to explore.

Nice/decent ending

Cons-Nitpicks

The game is a bit short.

The methods of attacking with magic was a bit convoluted if using the long form method....i.e. one having to either right or left click AFTER moving in various directions(like a sort of combo button system).....there are casting shortcuts, however, but only 8 of them.

Maybe Bug: The way the inventory screen overlaps the quick use item windows(when open) made it impossible to put items in the final quick use slot by dragging them to it UNLESS one used the trade window as a temporary placeholder(move one's own item to the shop, then click quick use window to put it on top of the inventory screen, then drag one's item from the shop to the last quick use slot)

There isn't a sequel(doesn't need one, as the game ends without cliffhanger, but eh.....i'd still welcome one).

Overall i'd give it a 7/10...very nice overall.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, April 24 (GOG)-This was a really good one. I really liked the puzzles, most of them were quite clever. The platforming was pretty good too. The big letdown was the combat. Thankfully there wasn't much combat in the game. The camera control was also a bit annoying and I think there should have been voice acting throughout. The puzzles and platforming though were really, really, fun.

Full List
XCOM 2 (The Newer one, not the underwater one)

It's like Enemy Unknown but with stealth elements, more missions with time limits, and RNG won't screw you out of funding.

My biggest grievance with the game is that the War of the Chosen DLC currently costs more than the base game (As of right now, in the sale WotC is £3 more expensive), what's the deal with that!?!
Assassins Creed III Remastered (XB1X)

The only reason I have this one is because it's a bonus part of the season pass for AC Odyssey. Then the remaster also comes with AC Liberation Remastered as well. Meaning AC Odyssey with season pass actually comes with three full games, as well as all DLC for Odyssey itself, of course. It is remastered, but they did not go overboard with sweeping graphics changes either. Resolution is at 1800p and a lot of textures are updated and water now has reflections of ships etc.

It's not my favourite of the series. It takes forever to get going, then actually feels rushed in the end. The game still has the annoying tailing and escort quests that were so popular. Then because the story is set in a full on war, too many missions are set during battles and involve dodging cannon fire or taking objectives and just didn't feel like Assassins Creed. They were trying to make something different, fair enough. When the game left you alone for a bit to in the open world it works a bit better. The world stuff is pretty fun, especially infiltrating and sabotaging the forts. Of course the game also ties up the Desmond story.

I did the game to 100% sync on my Xbox 360 years ago. This time I did all missions and side stuff, but didn't bother getting the ridiculous optional "full sync" objectives during missions, they were too tedious and I've done them before anyway.

The package also come with the DLC "The Tyranny of King Washington", which I assume refers to George and not Denzel. It's some sort of alternate timeline history thing. It's terrible, I stopped playing the DLC after the second mission and I'm sure this represents the series at its lowest point.

Deus Ex 1 again!
DmC: Devil May Cry beaten - Never played any of those games before. so have no nostalgic feelings about the character and how it is different to the original 4 games.

when i saw a quick lets play of first few levels of the game so many moons ago i really digged the main character design.

his cocky attitude, his jokes... very well designed. now i would like to see more of this character but from what i read other Dante is fairly different character compared to this game

little short. 9 hours to beat it. no interest in higher levels or 100% each level. might keep it on ssd just for future 10 min short burst of gameplay tough.
Wolfenstein (2009)

I don't care for most id software shooters but I still enjoy their Wolfenstein games (starting with RtCW, but I like this one better).
