Misremembering of the rules:

It only says you can't be lynched, I thought it had said can't be NK'd either but that may not actually be the case. Which brings up some interesting questions as the rules state that any NK'd player becomes a Spectre (unless Spectres are not themselves players) so if you were NK'd would you just return again as a Spectre?

Not sure if it's a mistake in the rules or if there are other mechanics in play..

See, here's my problem. Spectres can't be NK'd. I specifically asked about it, and I very specifically left open the idea that scum could still eliminate me, hoping to draw a NK.

I'll skip most of the PM details (I had a fair number of questions for Agent about various things). The relevant synopsis is that scum know that spectres can't be NK'd (the late notice is because of me, and you are welcome, scumbags!), and spectres know (or can find out) that spectres can't be NK'd.

So...how did you know? I double checked my post history to see if I let it slip anywhere, or even dropped a clue about it, but I couldn't find anything. I'm also reminded of Dessimu hitting Drealmer hard on Day 1, pushing for that victim lynch, and he very nearly succeeded.

I wouldn't call it a mistake, just probably an undisclosed mechanic, probably like "spectre's can't be NKed" told to scum if they ask to NK a spectre. My understanding is the only person that can kill a spectre is the exorcist, but like I said previously, I also figure there is a mechanic of "if the exorcist is dead, a random spectre is killed each night."

And yes, wyrm, use your own judgement, of course.

I didn't know, I honestly thought (assumed) that was the case, as it made sense considering the exorcist role.

If he were a PR I'dhave hoped he'd take the friendly Good advice and contribute more as to not appear like a scummy lurker, and he has not, so I'll go with the thought that he is scum just trying to lay low.

If I were Evil and had noob teammate (or teammates), I'd have probably advised them to lay as low as possible and try to lurk out a victory (because most here at GOG forum mafia permit the lurkers moreso than is healthy for town. Wish yogs was here to STU with me!)

Yes, it does appear to be a miscommunication. You said you wouldn't be returning, which I took as you'd never be a spectre, you meant you'd come and go at once as the most likely target for the exorcist.

It piqued interest to me as well at first when I read it, and I was waiting to see if he ever explained it. He has, and I believe it. Of course, he should have said "if I'm today's lynch" if he wanted to be entirely accurate, and that is the only thing that I find of note about it any more.

JMich can I ask for your read on HijacK? (anything in this game that is scummy to you, and your evaluation of his previous scum-games vs. this one, if you would.)

Not enough for a proper read. Majority of his posts can be tl;dr as "Too busy with school, can't even party properly". The few "meaty" posts he has are bashing heads with HSL, who I may be biased against based on my head bashing with him, as well as one disagreeing with adalia about the severity of an action.

One could probably say HijacK is lurking, though if I recall my schedule properly, college is the most likely reason for that.
