Hello and welcome to the registration thread for a game of forum mafia! The game where you spend hours writing detailed argument essays convincing other people into believing someone is the bad guy (but they're actually not) and getting them ejected from the game!

If you're a newbie and don't know how to play Mafia, click here for a brief video summary of what the game is like.

May include lots of roles. May be open or closed until I decide on the setup. Just like my previous game, it will include pacifist lynches and nightkills where nobody actually dies in the flavor but they will in the game. 100% gonna have daychats for all parties that can private chat. This time it'll be a war between... people who want to work from home, and people who will do everything to die (from overwork) at the office!

Sign ups will remain open until we get a sizeable number of players, or they slow to a crawl. if you have any ideas for this theme, you can share them in this thread.

Fitting the game theme's vernacular, I suppose I will be a "consultant" that might be called in if the company needs.

And I guess the Observer thread will be filled with "auditors". Then again, since that's where the dead players go hang out at the observers might be "HR drones" that will be processing the discarded employees' paperwork.

However since my availability is going to be dependent on things like the well-being of a cat with a very sensitive disposition and still needing to drive my mom around, my first post for each game day will end with an OCC section listing upcoming appointments that might cause me to not post on a specific day. Is our theme The Office?

Trent and yog together again is < almost > enough to make me want to play. But it would be a disaster both IRL and in-game so I won't ;)

I haven't seen Office Space, but I feel like I'm going to be the obligatory low work ethic employee in this game. My first post is literally going to be on the level of "Guys, here's a list of all my upcoming FMLA days."

Forgot to answer that. No (because I haven't watched The Office). It does sound an interesting show, but then again I thought of watching Supernatural a while back and it just didn't happen.

I'll create a wholly original setting but I'm open to taking some inspirations from The Office.

Oh, I also mentioned an idea in the admin thread with the cop academy idea, where the nightkilled person has to be ejected from the class kicking and screaming, and... I like that idea so much, I want to port it into this setting. It's so fun writing flavor when you have to think up of ways to get rid of removed players other than "lol they're dead".
