Good that it's fixed again. You can leave your message where it is, since it actually doesn't reveal anything and contains no claim and no statement about any alignment.

Lifthrasil: Depends. If it is a claim that is encrypted so that only certain people can understand it, then it is a crypto-claim. So, if you want to claim something, just do and don't speak in code. That's the reason behind the 'no crypto claiming' rule, as I understand it. To ensure that any claim can be read and worked with by everyone and to prevent players, who share knowledge of a certain code, to break the game. If we allow code talking, it is too easy to form unplanned and therefore unbalanced quasi-masonic mutually confirmed groups of people right under the nose of everyone, who doesn't know the code.

If, however, this was only the usual crazy talk without deeper meaning, then everything is fine.
Correct.

avatar
bler144: Whether or not it's technically crypto-claiming, imo it certainly violates the spirit of the rule.
The "spirit" of the rule is to not allow an advantage that exists outside of game mechanics. Whether that is the case here is up to the moderator(s) to decide.

adaliabooks: So you say not to trust the flips, yet you've been pushing for me (and now Leonard I suppose) all day based on P1na's (which you conveniently state is ok). The more I think about it the more I wonder if this isn't all some elaborate scum plot by you after all.

And look at that - you get to live Today. Lucky, lucky you. I'll see you in my room tonight. You bring the Tommy Gun, I'll bring the offal.

HypersomniacLive: Perhaps, bler144 was right. It took a lot of pressuring and pushing you to get that "Some people know something", and a related post to Bookwyrm627 out of you.
So, I have to wonder - why and what are you holding back? In the game we were both in, you were more forthcoming, stating your view on things and people. And this is what I meant with "more involved". You don't have to post walls of text, nor post a dozen times a day, but I'd expect you to bring something to the discussion if you're town and watching carefully and looking for slips.
Thanks for the clarification on the second point, as that is a question I had asked you.

On the first point, I have a lot of crazy theories that don't pan out, but I am <sometimes> right. My take was that a) Leonard wasn't going anywhere and that b) we weren't likely to get anything out of pressuring him. Even earlier in the day pre-wagon he was mostly dodging/deflecting rather than really coming into the light.

Adalia, OTOH, usually wants to talk and is squirmier, which cuts both ways.

He was more likely to try and talk his way out of pressure (the pre-mature "coroner" claim last game), which, even if he didn't talk his hole deeper, and we ended up voting elsewhere weighing his defense, would have given us something to hold him to later.

Putting that off til tomorrow gives him more time, and potentially also more info to formulate a better defense/claim. Speaking broadly, Leonard, perhaps like 1-2 other players, is generally best tackled by other means, imo. /shrug

adaliabooks: Can't say I see your reasoning there... surely pushing another wagon looks more like saving my own ass the closer to lynch I am? (I wouldn't count L-6 close, if that is what you actually meant)

All in all I'm confident it's a good wagon.

So you say not to trust the flips, yet you've been pushing for me (and now Leonard I suppose) all day based on P1na's (which you conveniently state is ok). The more I think about it the more I wonder if this isn't all some elaborate scum plot by you after all.
It may end with a good result, but there's no getting around the fact it's a terrible wagon.

My point was more that, at L-6 you had the time to stop and consider making a valid argument for voting Leonard when you voted, or suggest an alternative strategy. Instead you just piled on with little comment.

So yes, that looks like a vote of not much more than "better him but me."

On the yogs point, I do agree. He's asking for quite a bit of trust without actually sharing anything, and there is the open question of why he thinks we should trust that flip (which fits his agenda) but not any others. Bit of a rabbit hole opens up there.
Clarification: Each Scum team won't bus "each other", meaning their own buddies. The two teams still have to eliminate the other team to win.

yogsloth: I'm almost paralyzed here this time because I don't quite know what's going to help or hurt to say out loud.
Abort, Retry, Fail?

Ignore.

Ok, that would make more sense. I thought you were suggesting scum would not vote another player they thought was scum (even if on an opposing team)

Quite.

You're welcome, I had no intention of leaving it unanswered, just decided to do it in my reply to Leonard03, after seeing how he defended himself.

You say your take "was", do you still think we got nth?

That's why I didn't want to let go.

Frankly, there's so much going on, I'm getting a headache.

HypersomniacLive: ............<snip>...............

avatar
flubbucket: So you are quite close to being lynched.

Will you be claiming or not??
avatar
HypersomniacLive: I think this is the first time you've shown any interest in Leonard03, or anything happening around him. If he doesn't claim, will you vote him? And why?
If he doesn't claim there is a strong possibility I will Vote or Hammer if needed.

The "why" would be obvious at that point; refusal to claim.

So HypersomniacLive...........will you be voting??
Let's look at the technicalities of how the game has gone:

Day 1: Nothing unusual, but lynch flips Scum.

Night 1: One kill, no flip

Day 2: Reported actions - two block/jailings

And that's it.

There is essentially zero evidence to support the theory of two Scum teams.
avatar
yogsloth: 1) There are two Scum teams. Bet your house.

I was going to say I finally understand him.

Good question. Off the cuff, we got confirmation that, whatever he's doing, he's not even really trying to hunt. Which seems odd. It appears he was not sitting on some grand theory and just afraid to tip his hand.

Otherwise I'd say he's pretty much doubled-down. Still fits with scum whatever, still fits with neutral whatever, still maybe fits with town power role he doesn't know how to conceal/claim.

Confused vanilla does look less likely, as he should still have some sort of hunch/theory/ping, and he'd seemingly have nothing to lose in sharing it.

Gotta run!
Yeah. I was waiting to post this:

EBWOP

Never mind. I think I see what you are getting at. I agree.
