bler144: If only the deadline were Monday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs069dndIYk
Not directly game related:
just wanted to remind anyone, that we germans aren't allowed to watch youtube videos with popular music in them, because the music industry tries to extort huge sums of money from youtube for that and google isn't paying yet.

So if there's anything game wise important in these clips and they contain music, you might wanna also put some text pointing in the same direction in the post, or live with me just not getting it ;)

Also bler144 seems to have killed the thread. Could you please stop doing that? ;P

trentonlf: Also, again I am not seeing why people are suspect of Kryspyn. But to be honest no one stands out a whole lot right now so I'm not sure who to look at.
Well, the serious stuff aside, I did find another (very tiny) incentive to vote for him:
He might slip up and we get to see his edit elve punishment :D been dying to know what it is.

avatar
RWarehall: So far, I think the suggestion of punishment for Krypsyn is possibly the most cruel if he slips up...
avatar
Krypsyn: Does it count if I do it on purpose? Now I am curious.

avatar
RWarehall: Although all should be forewarned, they promise worse for a second offense and may not be so light-handed the next time someone slips up....
avatar
Krypsyn: Promise?! Now I want to double post more than ever!

Hey everyone! I was away for a bit, I'm catching up now and hopefully there will be something to comment on after.

Catching up on the three posts in the last 24 hours?
Back home after a very long day. Seems like the game didn't move much.

I haven't read till the last time I posted, but the thread has been active as a snail it seems...

Good thing you're here. It seems now there is a hint of uncertainty in your tone regarding flub. You didn't believe him before, like at all, why change now?

Call it a pause until we can resolve the issue of the results of trent's investigation.

flub refuses to roll claim. I don't see that as being either purely Towny or Scummy, as there are legit reasons for any alignment to refuse. But I think we should do our best to figure it out with or without him. His behavior is nearly 100% Scummy otherwise, but even I like to be cautious every now and then. Just to try it out every once in a while to see how it tastes.

I don't know about 100% but like HSL said, he isn't doing himself favors in the way he is reacting to being questioned.

While on that matter, @Trent, what do you think about the way flub is responding to pretty much everyone else right now? For a bit try to imagine you don't believe he is Town because of your read.

He is either being evasive or defensive in his responses. If I had not investigated him and believe him to be town I would have him leaning as scum right now. I'm not sure why he is reacting the way he is, but I want to believe he has good reasons.

HijacK: Class day ended on a shitty n0te, ASU played against UNM and won, decided to chill with friends after a 4 h0ur sleep night, d0rm party where I was producer got busted, frankly I wasn't there wh3n the c0ps swarmed the place, the chick I was chasing for the night got picked by someone 3lse in my d0rm, and my friends almost got arrested. After a failure of a night I decided not to p0st. Sue me!
OK.

yogsloth: [...]

So is flub Town Cop? I don't believe so. The fact that both DVDs deal specifically with witness protection, rather than general law enforcement, is what is key here. I don't know precisely what that means. Is he Mafia in hiding? Is he a Jailor? I don't know. His avatar and video post of Barney Fife seems to be a coded message that fits the general theme, though, doesn't it?

[...]
Why don't you believe so? Do you think that there's only one Town Cop or that there's only one of each role that is in play? In either case, is there something specific that makes you think so?

As for the general theme - is this all you see them have in common?

Putting whatever knowledge you have on your alignment and role, do you consider your own behaviour as 100% townie?

And let me ask you again - what was it that makes you think you were blocked N1?
Sorry for my absence. My weekend was very full and I have an exam coming up. So I can't really read the thread today, so no input from me today.

The fact both DVDs deal directly with witness protection is just too specific for a bog-standard role like Town Cop. I don't presume it's impossible for there to be two Town Cops, but I simply have to believe that if flub is one, there's more to it than that. And that's if he's some sort of Cop.

Not sure what this question means, sorry.

HypersomniacLive: Putting whatever knowledge you have on your alignment and role, do you consider your own behaviour as 100% townie?
I would say my behavior on the first page of the game was not obviously 100% Townie, but everything I did was very deliberately crafted at that stage. As the Day went on, I do think it should be fairly apparent I'm one of the good guys, especially by now. You could say my opening salvo wasn't particularly Townie prima facie, but by now you can see most of the full effect it had. I took a risk, and I believe it's paid off sufficiently thus far.

HypersomniacLive: And let me ask you again - what was it that makes you think you were blocked N1?
I shouldn't have said "think". The actual words "role blocked" weren't used, but the text of my PM seems pretty clear. A role block was used against me. I don't say more for a specific reason, my apologies.
ok, here it goes I'm going to confirm one other town role now (aside from myself). Speak up if you feel better. :)

I'm doing this because, I'm quite sure scum already figured out who I am (quite a few should have by now (after hijacks claim) and I'm pretty sure I'll be nightkilled tonight. And for the little playtime I have left I want to do as much good to town as I can. (at least I hope it's good).

The way I see it a confirmed townie is probably worth more than a weak role (there's even a role with it's only power being confirmed :) - inocent child), because he won't be lynched and because what he says will be believed. If the town role I'm going to confirm doesn't fullclaim, scum won't know if it's worth the nightkill and will probably go after me tonight, but then there's the backup to go on tomorrow and free up and confirm another town role. If they go with the unrestricted town role for the nightkill, they will leave me to confirm and release another town role tomorrow that can work freely in the night.
so if they kill me and hijack (whom I have also confirmed town with this post, because it's impossible he could have come up with the role he claimed by making it up since it's exactly my description only as backup) there's two nights the roles of town can work without getting killed and if scum goes for the roles, I, or when I'm dead hijack, can continue our work during the day.

I don't want to stay hidden anymore, because when they kill me tonight and I haven't confirmed anyone, a scum player can just claim that he's an unrestricted town role tomorrow by reading my flip. And noone would be able to confront them on that. This would be incredibly bad! That's why I'm going to be open as to whom I've unrestricted. But I'll only say so after the person, tells us all that he's been unrestricted, so that you can believe me. And if scum goes claiming I did unrestrict them, I will know and tell. and we can lynch him. Let's hope scum will be stupid enough to do that...

I am McHack – Tony (Town Self-Help Guru)
Every Day I can choose one player in the game to remove any negative ability modifiers he may have.

(So far I have only claimed that I can't do anything at night and that's the complete truth, with my softclaim I've been aiming to stay hidden for as long as possible during the game, to unrestrict as many roles as I can, but after hijack's claim, I'm pretty sure scum figured out, or would have tonight at least, who I am. The next best thing would have been a massclaim, or so I thought, so that I can confirm a disputed role during it, but well that apparently would have been boring ;))

You know that for certain do you? *raises eyebrow*

Can't say I'm impressed with that claim though... with town cop and both unrestrictors on the board scum are going to have a field day...
While it's entirely possible scum might have guessed it (I can't say I didn't have my suspicions, although it was the wording of your push for a mass claim that really made me think) just handing it to them on a plate is not a good idea...

mchack: )
Why would you want whoever you remove the restrictions from to claim? Would that not just tell scum to possibly target them? I mean if you remove someone's restriction and they are NKd what good was removing the restriction?
