yogsloth: What was the other time? Still on about game #24? Is that your only example?
Game #24. Pushing an algebra theory as instant win for town when possible scenarios that could end up bad for town were being brought up. Saying most scum are lurkers. Today you seemed to call for the lynch of lurkers solely based on the reason of little activity. I'll go back and check for more. I like when you say you've made no mistakes. Gives me something to do to disprove your point.

yogsloth: In your brain, does this sentence somehow not come out as a contradiction in terms? Did it make sense at the time?
Let's analyze the sentence then, oh you, the player who makes no mistakes./end sarcasm

You stated that we should lynch the lurkers because they don't contribute. (i.e. in your mind contributing = posting) What if I told you one could post once every 2 days and still contribute more than someone who posts every couple of hours? You see. You think of contribution in terms of numbers. I look at contributions in terms of information. So yes, the sentence does make sense, if you for once stopped looked at thing from an algebra perspective.

Mind to point me to one post in which you indicated that lurkers may provide useful input in the few posts they have? I'll patiently wait for it.

BlueMooner: So my post is both terrible and brilliant
Never said it's brilliant, but go ahead and believe that.

avatar
BlueMooner: , as I ask stupid questions while subtly manipulating people with my subliminal thought control.
Some people believe them.

avatar
BlueMooner: Ooookay. And FYI, my "what are you hiding" was NOT a legitimate question. You seem to have misunderstood the tone and connotation completely, or are pretending you did. So, let me ask you a few out-of-game questions, which you are of course free to ignore:
I was entirely sarcastic when I asked you if it's a legitimate question. If you go back and re-read the post, you'll also notice I called the question childish, fodder, and distracting.

avatar
BlueMooner: 1) Do you use speech-to-text software when you post?
2) Have you seen Monty Python and all of their Spanish Inquisition skits?
3) What is your approximate age? 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45+?
4) Is your cultural upbringing Romanian, or from an english-speaking country?
I don't see the point of such questions. *ignores them and flees away*

avatar
BlueMooner: I ask because when I see misunderstandings and miscommunications online (or the chance that's occurring), I try to get a better handle on whom I'm speaking with, to better figure out where or what is causing confusion. I want to see if:
Ah, I see. Noble cause, but not the time or place for this.

avatar
BlueMooner: 1) I'm misunderstanding you
2) You're misunderstanding me
3) Neither, and our exchange is solely game-related.
You lost me at 3. What does cultural upbringing have anything to do with that? Needless to say English as a language doesn't have to do much with communication as a whole. It's a means of communication and does not dictate the pace. Not only that, but do keep in mind appearances mislead. Based on my profile, where do you think I live right now?

Doh...

Well, I'll attest that HijacK didn't edit anything in the top portion of his post. It seems he just didn't quite wait long enough. To be safe, wait for 11 minutes to pass, not just 10 minutes, in the future. ;)

Krypsyn: Assuming there is only one scum team, of course.
Wait, what? You mean there could be town, mafia1, mafia2, AND neutrals?? Why even have two mafia teams? Does... does this mean there could even be two town teams?? Jesus Fing christ.

Well, on to my main point.

****************************************************

I have three names for my most suspicious people, in no particular order: Hijack, Yog, Agent.

Hijack I've already explained.

Yog I'll elaborate on. I've been operating on the presumption that Yog has a town+ ploy and I could see how it might work. However, I never believed he was cop. I thought that was part of his ploy, to fool mafia into thinking he was. But others have now convinced me that lying is (almost) always bad. And since I think he's lying about cop, then he's lying about town also.

The main point of evidence I offer against him is his own PM. In it he shared a description of being 'as broken as a pawn-shop ring', or somesuch. The description given is nothing like I'd expect a cop to receive. Granted, I have nothing to compare this to, this being my first game, but it still seems obviously false.

If Yog were honest about the PM, meaning that's what RW actually sent, then I don't see how it could possibly describe a cop. If Yog is lying about the PM, then it's a piss-poor description to fabricate to appear to be a cop. In short, either true or false, it doesn't support a cop claim IMO.

Therefore I've done a complete 180 and gone from thinking him the most town+ to the most town-. His name joins my top 3.

Agent has done two bad things. People have explained why no-lynching is bad for town, and he has voted for that. So that puts one point in his column. He has also all but role claimed. People have been all over Yog for doing so, chided hack for doing so, and Agent has himself done the same. On two occasions he's pretty much named himself, or at least indicated he has a role. And as has been made clear to me, role-claiming is (almost) always bad, m'kay. So either he's lying about the role, or making a town- mistake. Given how we've all done nothing BUT talk about Yog and his "mistake", as well as hack's, it seems inconceivable Agent would make an oopsy over that (although I could be wrong again).

Given all our talk on role-claiming, his doing so is suspicious, so he joins my top 3 list.

Now, these 3 are my most suspicious, and I'm willing to vote for any of them. People have explained that lynching is good for town (and dear GOD I don't want a repeat of this day if nobody's lynched), so I am definitely up for lynching someone. I'm willing to change my vote to go on whichever of these three is likely to be lynched. I don't know exactly when this deadline occurs (can't be bothered to figure time zones), and I work tomorrow night, so I don't know if I'll be here to vote.

As such, since Yog seems the one people are most likely to lynch I'll change my vote to him now.

Vote Yogsloth

However, if people are ganging up to vote hijack or agent, and I'm not here to change my vote, is it possible I can set my vote to automatically change? Like I said, if I'm here or not, I'm willing to vote any of these three.

I missed the deadline by 10 seconds. 10 damn effing seconds... I live on the edge like that. It's the second time in my mafia career that I do this.

Yes.

Variety.

No.

... Superstar? Never seen it; not a fan of musicals.

Non-participant commentary but I didn't observe any change either. Matches my memory of it on initial read.

/sarcasm
The edit elves have spoken, check your PM, HijacK!
So I cannot use any 4 letter words. If I am required to use any 4 letter words, I shall improvise and spell the words in question in a hideous way to fight the communist elves.

Not a fan of musicals or christianity myself, but I did see it, and it does have some catchy tunes (1973 film).
Well done, thus farr!

RWarehall: Well done, thus farr!
Can I do that, can I set my vote to auto-change?

it's not his pm. you mustn't quote your pm it's even in the op...

first of all you have to unvote before you can vote again. secondly autovoting is not possible, that much I'm sure of. (and that's a good thing, it's important for wagon analasys after the lynch when someone voted, on which place in the wagon he joined in and what his reasons were)
