drealmer7: you don't see anything in fantasy voting dess so readily "oh yeah! it could be that!" and she votes, so agreeable with you, just trying to lynch any townie that might go?
avatar
Ixamyakxim: If he flips town we have a very serious conversation about her tomorrow.
Which will get you no-where. And closer for town losing the game. What's more, you have to pick a target from 3 players. Me and drealmer have to pick from two. I am town. Drealmer talks like town. You should trust us more rather than push for my lynch.

Ehhh, no, I'm really not inclined to vote him. I think you've got it wrong. Dess seems totally town. All points to fantasy. Gotta stick with what I think is right especially with how right it seems, and hope you change your mind for now. If by some odd chance it is not fantasy, I'll go for dess tomorrow.

Meanwhile...fantasy just sits backs and keeps quiet, hoping we kill each other...
@ lx

I really don't see wisdom in your current decision, because my lynch does not benefit town one bit. If I knew for certain who is cultist, I would hammer myself because it seems I can't make you believe otherwise. Even worse is that you reinforce idea of me being cult with wildest theories.

Now I only feel like fantasy is the last cultist, she must be lynched. Thus my vote will move nowhere.

I am going to sleep, because it's already late and I have to get early for work.

Whatever happens, no-lynch is the worst and most ridiculous option right now. Worse than lynching me. So don't do that.

Goodnight.

I said the last day that if Ix could make an argument about Dess or Cristi, I would listen and think it through myself. Ix gave me one for Dess, and it made some sense for me.

I am at work, so I'm trying to get on the thread as much as I can without getting in trouble.

Spoken like true scum. True town play would be to take one for the team.

If Dessimu is REALLY town and flips town where do you think my vote goes tomorrow? Who cares if we win today or tomorrow ...

Scum buddies or some sort of sleeper townie with a funky win condition that relies on lynch order.

Why do we HAVE to win by lynching Fantasy now? Why not tomorrow after Dessimu flips town? I'm guessing because you know he won't flip town.

At this point I see only a few options. You two manage to convince Fantasy I'm so insane that she should lynch me. Drealmer rolls the dice and votes Dessimu hoping to get the lynch on Fantasy tomorrow or we stalemate / reach deadline. Or the three of you vote No Lynch - I won't I think that might be bad for town as well.

Can we fast forward to one of those?
ehg...how about you just do the most sensible thing and vote fantasy? your fear of some weird win condition or whatever sleeper dynamic really makes no sense

Then switch your vote to Dessimu. He'll flip town, we'll all have a laugh and vote Fantasy tomorrow.

She'll chuckle and cult will be so bummed that they missed the win by being slow on one wagon and you can all joke about Ixamyakxim's crazy nonsensical theories.

But I am not leaving the two of you alive with just me.

The way you phrased your not-so-certain you'd vote fantasy tomorrow if dess flips town previously makes me cautious about you, especially since you're the one delaying what seemed the win after a fantasy lynch, and you're the one talking about weird win-conditions and sleepers.

Can you understand how I'm wary, if you are some sleeper element, immune to the DP because your cult-alignment doesn't count because of some weird shit?

I wasn't even thinking about such things until you asked us to try and think of weird things. But I'm not inclined to let crazy theories and fear win me over at this point in the game.
@lift: what happens if we no-lynch? since we will seemingly be in the same situation tomorrow?
Something strange happens. drelamer seems to be statically charged. Whenever he touches anything or tries to sit down, little sparks discharge from him and give him a painful jolt. Finally he discovers that only murmuring a manra regularly saves him from the strange phenomenon. Now he has to say: I WILL NOT DOUBLE POST AGAIN OR I'LL GET MOD-KILLED thrice, each time before doing anything else.
I WILL NOT DOUBLE POST AGAIN OR I'LL GET MOD-KILLED
I WILL NOT DOUBLE POST AGAIN OR I'LL GET MOD-KILLED
I WILL NOT DOUBLE POST AGAIN OR I'LL GET MOD-KILLED

*bows bows bows* oh mighty and fair moderator, thank you for the punishment bestowed!

You got that right. A no-lynch wouldn't change anything. If your assumption that the CL and DP are dead is true, you will gain no information whatsoever from a night. So it would only make the game drag endlessly. Therefore, (not changing anything and danger of game-drag) I will assume that a no-lynch means, that a stale-mate has been reached. And a stale mate means that you all are saved some day and that the Cult reaches Earth. I will not straight away forbid a no-lynch. If you think for some reason that a no lynch is good for Town and if you find convincing arguments for that (and actually get a majority vote on no-lynch), I'll accept that.

However, if you are just paralyzed by the Cult and are stuck in a stale mate until the deadline, the Cult wins. That makes sense flavour-wise and also rules wise. Kind of. Because if town is unable to come to an agreement and there is nothing in sight that will change that, they are also unable to win and Cult wins by default.

Official vote count

Fantasiscy: 2 - drealmer, Dessimu
Dessimu: 2 - Ixamyakxim, Fantasiscy

It takes 3 to lynch and both Fantasy and Dessimu are at L-1
Everybody is voting

What kind of mod would create a game that ends on a no-lynch anyway?

Thanks for that! It makes sense. I will not allow it to go to no-lynch then, certainly, and while I'd rather not bend to Ix's will coming from crazy-theories and vote dess, I will ultimately before the deadline day if we are still stuck like this.

However, I do hope Ix changes his mind.

Ix, does that from lift help you feel any more secure about no weird no-lynch agenda on anyone's part?

fuck, I hope so, the longer the game goes on the more time there is for me to make another mistake and die and lose it for town stupidly

Partially. It means that if my concerns are valid, you and Dessimu can no longer "trick" Fantasy into voting No Lynch along with you, as that is as good as a cult win (cult is still alive and we arrive at earth, rescue ship arrives, whatever).

However, it also means that (again, if my concerns are correct) you and Dessimu can stalemate and effectively get a cult win.

IF my concerns are misplaced we should be able to get a lynch of Dessimu today and if he flips town we can lynch Fantasy tomorrow.

I won't worry so much about this any more. Like I've said a few times now, early on I would have considered trying to get Dessimu to vote you over the other way around. My biggest concern about lynching Dessimu first was that leaving you alive would trigger *whatever.*

However, given how vigorously you both insisted we MUST lynch Fantasy today I no longer would do this.
