I'm in, but I'm in no rush to win (so consider this if you're not going to pick up the winner at random). I've been graced by this community pretty recently a number of times, Grim Dawn being the latest and most time consuming. ;)

My favorite western is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Such an awesome film.

That said, watching Yojimbo and A Fistful of Dollars back to back is something all human beings should do at least once in their lives.

For those of you who may not be aware, Sergio Leone's A Fistful of Dollars, the first movie in the Dollars trilogy (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly being the last), is a shameless remake of Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo, replacing the incredible Toshiro Mifune with the always amazing Clint Eastwood and the feudal japan with western america.

And now I've just realized that this is such a sad world because there never was (or will ever be) a buddy cop movie with both Toshiro Mifune and Clint Eastwood playing the cops. :(

I'd love to be in, thank you for the occasion and bringing this apparent genre gem to my attention. Interesting what's still left to discover in some corners of the GOG catalog...

For this, I'd like to mention Cormac McCarthy's masterpiece Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West. A well-researched novel, its story taking place during the late 18th century on the Texas-Mexico border, mainly focusing on a band of headhunters killing Native Americans for a money reward. While very violent, story depth and the excellent writing (profound dialog, incredible descriptions of nature and environments) may make this my favorite novel. Have read it three times, plan to read it many more times.

I remember enjoying My Name is Nobody. Ennio Morricones score was just so wacky, totally unlike his usual thing.

Guld til præriens skrappe drenge ... danish folk comedy western from 1971. So bad it's .. pretty bad.

Speaking of western, I am not a big fan of strategy games, but a single one such game I really enjoyed was Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. I remember that when I was a child, one time we visited my godmother and she gave me a CD with this game. The CD came with Kellogg's cereal box and it was not a full game, but rather a demo - one full mission. And boy, it was a long one. Enjoyed practically everything in there: the appearances of town, of people, the voice acting, the story (well, it was a mission that I had to save a sheriff from prison, and bring a bandit to justice - put him in prison instead). I loved the mechanics in the game and with three playable characters, I was given creative freedom as to how approach my goal or how to kill a bandit in about 20 different ways or more. I guess what appealed to me in the game, was the sense of stealth and rich variety of choices and consequences that came with it.

Best western game for me.
