gogtrial34987: FYI, as a caved in head sounds pretty fatal to me, and Doc doesn't always explicitly say that enemies are dead (reference the orcs which were munched on by the hill giant), I've just asked Doc to confirm explicitly if the tall hag is dead or not. I suggest holding your fire until we get an answer to that.

Swift reply from Doc. The official status of the tall hag:

She is dead, maybe I should have added that but I thought everyone would know that that would be fatal

gogtrial34987:
It's swift because he's online now - I actually asked him yesterday the update and I also got a reply now! :)

At first I thought she was dead, but then I re-read it and because she has regrown a whole arm (!), I assumed that since he didn't explicitly say she's dead, she might be able to heal the head injury.

I'm not sure if the poisonous fumes are still there, but either I or someone else can haul the body away from the fumes.

Additional info from Doc I asked about - Kyp is gone, but Thras and Max can be revived and yes, casting Cure Disease will immediately heal Roark, if it's successful.

So I suggest hauling the body out of the fumes, unless Doc says they're gone and then looting it, while others loot the other bodies, andd I try to resurrect Max (but first we heal Roark). And passing around the magic ring to heal those injured, and those revived. :)

Do you think if we took a look at how deep Taz is embedded into Thras' body, we could perhaps try to cut Taz out if it's only superficial (a literal head on his body) and then revive him and see if Taz would become his own body if revived after being "pulled" out of Thras? The same way he only materialized when eaten? Maybe he's made out of fluid and when revived he would reform, and we could question him who he is and why he is there, if Roark would be willing to resurrect Taz - if this works and he hasn't just turned into liquid by now again.

Good news, Doc got back to me, if we cast Cure Disease then you will be in control.

Are you actually immune to poison, by the way? Or was the cool assassin druid history just fun RP? (so cool btw!)

Heh, I asked about that yesterday. Answer: "there is still some poison gas in the air but no more leaving her body".

Or he could start throwing around lightning again. I say cut him off, revive Thras, and be done with it.

(Also good to know that you have resurrect! I was expecting the Cleric to have it, so worried by his absence.)
I replied to you, saw page 37 appear, and after replying to Roark suddenly the page disappeared and now your reply is the last one again. Can you see it?

I'm posting this in hopes that more replies might make page 37 appear again. I remember reading a bug where a certain number of posts on a page would tmake the first post on the next page disappear (but only to the poster), so I'm hoping this is the case. :)

Awesome! Yeah, in that case the best thing is to haul her body away from it. I'll first go out of the fog and heal Roark, if Triock doesn't go first, otherwise I'm free to haul it away - but I'm guessing anyone should be strong enough, and it might be better for me to try to resurrect Max right away not to waste more time, and then heal him up with the ring. :)

Only if he's some sort of a mage and has learned it (or can copy abilities he learns) - otherwise, being out of Thras, he wouldn't have the spell anymore.

Paladins can also have Resurrect (and Druids! they can even cast them as many times as they want, like all their other spells, as long as they have spell uses remaining), but I only have one since at the start the game paladins received spells randomly and after seeing our progress I assumed we wouldn't need more, esp. since most people couldn't be resurrected and we had a good formation with defensive spells. And Roark has (or had it), so I thought if more would be needed, he could help out too! :)

Reflect Spells should run out on Turn 14, by the way, so next Turn only Bless and Protection Against Evil should remain on me (and PoE on Svartalf).

It helps if you set the number of posts per topic page to 50 from the default 20; then you're 2.5 times as unlikely to encounter that bug. :)

That's making more assumptions about what Taz is and how he functions than I'm comfortable with. Definitely intending to be far away if anyone tries reviving him.

Then I say save it for now, and let's see if Roark can be cured so he can start using his resurrects. Worst case we might need your single resurrect to bring back Roark. (And we don't want to make it too easy for Doc to kill us all off!) :D

(Also, I've grown too attached to Beldarion as my meat shield, so I need some extra bodies to serve as meat shields for him. Don't tell him I said so. :P)

Thanks! I just tried it, and the button "save and go back" doesn't work. :D I guess it's the Firefox, since GOG has broken several parts of the website for the older versions, including the store front page and store search function (games don't display, there are only gray boxes, however individual game pages work!). This almost never happens to me, so hopefully it'll be good now again. :)
*Roosevelt stops as the werewolf runs off. He heaves a sigh of relief and starts to don his armor, which keeps him occupied so he likely doesn't notice the dwarf brigand looting corpses he rejoins the party once his gear has been recovered and starts introducing himself to those who are present.*

"My name is Roosevelt, knight champion defender of the chivalrous order of the Lion. And I was displaced from my previous expedition by magicks. I would love the opportunity to accompany you on this mission, whatever it is, so that we may find these thieving murderous drow."

*He looks at the Hag's corpse being dragged out.*

"Burn that with magical fire. Destroy the body of both those disgusting things. Should we chase after the wolf man?"

++ROOSEVELT DONS HIS ARMOR AND SUGGESTS BURNING THE WITCHES WITH MAGICAL FIRE.++

Roosevelt, Human Paladin
Silver infused Morningstar Flail
Full plate armor
Large One handed Tower shield
2 Healing spells
1 protection from Evil +CAST IN TURN 12, ACTIVE 3 MORE TURNS+
Right. Well considering the wolf might act (and perhaps not under control) before the cure disease spell goes off, I'm inclined to still guard/calm as before.

That said, if the wolf runs off or is cured, I'll look around for some paper that can be folded into a nice origami fan, which I'll wave to try to dissipate the lingering cloud away from the group.

What? No paper, you say? Perhaps a Blanket of Comfort +3 could do the trick.

Just some fun RP. It came to me while playing, and I thought it made a nice reveal. Roark's probably not immune to poison, just exposed enough to it to know how to cure it.

gogtrial34987: She is dead.
I shoot a couple of arrows at the Tall Hag nevertheless.

"Like I said... better safe than sorry".

Let the looting begin. I guess I'll start looting the orcs.

"Shall we go after the huge flea infested dog afterwards? I supposed some of you are his friends, right?".

jonridan: I shoot a couple of arrows at the Tall Hag nevertheless.
Uhhh...please don't.

We've had enough friendly fire already.
Current Actions Summary

70 - Lifthrasil - Thras - Dwarven Mage -- DEAD
(can possibly be revived) (Taz still attached)

9 - MaxFulvus - Max, son of Fulvus - Dwarven Thief -- DEAD
(can possibly be revived)
I feel my soul floating above my remaining body, my ancestors call me from a distant eon. No, Noooo !
This is not the end, I refuse ! I want to fight, to detect traps, I reclaim revenge ! Resurrect me, adventurers !

29 - gogtrial34987 - Og'rialt - Dwarf Brigand -- ( Magic Shield )
Og'rialt swiftly steps away from the poison cloud and the werewolf. If his health has noticeably deteriorated from the poison gas, he quaffs a healing potion. Then he locates the flabby hag which Morte took down at the beginning of the fight, and methodically loots her corpse, using his brigand experience to keep his nausea in check ("no worse than crispy Ogre corpses, this" he keeps telling himself), carefully looking for jewelry, and examining any bags for hidden pockets where she might keep special trinkets.
If after this there are still corpses left unlooted that he can safely reach, he'll swiftly loot them as well. Having done so, he looks around to everyone organizing themselves, and informs them that he has reason to believe that the mirror Cicatrix has stolen could be the key to getting out of this dungeon, and asks for as many adventurers as possible to join him in hot pursuit, hopefully in a formation as was practiced in the side tunnel, with a warrior and thief in front to detect traps and be ready to attack any enemies that show up, and a practiced set of maneuvers to allow effective ranged attacks without endangering those up front.
If no one has a better claim to them, I wouldn't mind getting either Kyp's mithril axe or the fire arrow bow, as my current axe is one handed but I'm without shield or ranged weapons.

15 - Lone_Scout - Says Beldarion - Human Warrior -- ( Magic Shield )
Beldarion steps beside Triock Ulagolor, while protecting others from the werewolf. In the case the cure disease spell doesn't work, Waihyra will provide a "sharper" cure to Roark.

28 - triock - Triock Ulagolor - Elven Paladin
Triock Ulagolor, Elven Paladin, casts "Cure Disease" on Roark, Elven Druid, while keeping safe distance from him and goes to the tall Hag to cut off her ringed hand and thus taking the ring.

5 - Sulibor - Dunward - Human Mage -- ( Magic Shield )
Dunward orders summoned monster to follow and protect him. He approaches the place where he noticed the light and tries to find the source of it. If he fails to notice anything out of ordinary he will cast "detect secret". If the warewolf attacks him he will use his wand of silver darts, but he hopes he will not need to.

59 - Lemmus - Cicatrix - Drow Ranger
Cicatrix bounds up the stairs as quickly as is safe, abandoning stealth for speed, although she does try to be conscious of the possibility of traps. These crazy dungeons always seem to have traps.
Cicatrix figures that the mess behind her will take some time to resolve and those adventurer types always seem to loot everything before moving on, but she wants to have as much distance as possible between herself and them just in case.
Aware of the possibility of pursuit, she focuses as much attention as she has left on her hearing, both forwards and backwards. So far no one has attacked her directly, but this is unlikely to last.

2 - bler144 - SmartyFartBlart - Human Paladin -- ( Reflect Spells, Protective Bubble )
1.Agreed. Someone with a sharpie needs to get in and remove the finger/ring before we assume she's toast.
I'll keep on the charm offensive and try to distract/calm/sooth the werewolf (shield at the ready) while the cure disease plays through.
Though it wouldn't hurt for the caster to PM doc to confirm it's viable here. Presumably it would be since it's still the underlying issue.
I think I still have 1 heal spell and 1 pot assuming we get around to reviving/regrouping here soon. but it seems like everyone wounded is also kinda deadish?
Edit - also, presuming the ring isn't cursed in some fashion we could pass it around whilst out of combat and save heal spells/pots for mid-combat.
2.Right.

52 - RedFireGaming - Roark - Elven Druid -- WEREWOLF CURSED
"All these Adventurers look delicious." "No!" Roark screams, clutching his head. "I can't stay here," "I'll kill them all."
Desperate to avoid hurting anyone else on his side, Roark rushes to the side of the room away from the adventurers. (If I have the layout right, the back of the room doesn't have any adventurers, they are at the entrance, in the center, or at the right side of the room, although Triock might still be at the left side if he hasn't moved)
And while I'm at it...
Roark hears a voice dimly through the fog. Is it Eranear's? He stops running, confused. "Maybe they're trying to help me." he thinks. "You saw what happened to Thras. They're out for blood, and they don't care who gets hurt along the way."

80 - Green_Hilltop - Eranear - Elf Paladin -- ( Protection Against Evil, Reflect Spells, Bless )
I think that Cure Disease should instantly cure Roark and give him back control, as the description says he'll need to be rolling for control now due to that, so he will be doing it before every action until healed or the spell expires. I'm waiting for Doc to get back to me about some things, however I'll be most likely rushing out of the poison cloud and healing (Cure Disease) Roark, or rushing back in to attack the hag after a taking a breath of fresh air so that I don't end up poisoned, if Roark is healed by that time.

35 - jonridan - Aslain Melemir - Elven Thief
I shoot several arrows at the Tall Hag again...
"Better safe than sorry..."
I won't start looting until after that hag is dead. Then I will start by looting the orcs, since the tall hag is still in the middle of a poisonous cloud and I enjoy breathing.

22 - 01kipper - Kip - Halfling Brigand
Kip considers shooting at the Tall Hag with his magical sling, but who knows if poison clouds are flammable so he holds off doing so. He stands alert for any new threats, ready to attack if anything tries to ambush us.
If he sees the werewolf (Roark) heading towards his direction, he will swiftly move out of the way!

69 - alexandros050 - Rudy - Human Ranger
I will banish my bear and then shoot arrows towards the tall hag from a good distance.

13 - paladin181 - Roosevelt - Human Paladin -- ( Protection Against Evil )
++ROOSEVELT DONS HIS ARMOR AND SUGGESTS BURNING THE WITCHES WITH MAGICAL FIRE.++

Haven't taken turn yet:

41 - zlaywal - Zayd ibn Yasin - Human Ranger
43 - idbeholdME - Svartalf - Dwarven Battlemage -- ( Protection Against Evil, Reflect Spells)
48 - babark - Babargh - Dwarven Cleric -- ( Globe of Protection )
72 - park_84 - Darrim - Dwarf Warrior
78 - CervelloYM - Cervello - Drow Battlemage
Zayd ibn Yassin shaking his head when the stocky hag missed by his arrows for the umpteenth time. He looks at Kyp's belonging and take his fire bow. He take a short prayer for his fellow ranger.
Since the tall hag is done for, I added a paragraph with my new actions into my original post. Here it is:

Edit: She's defeated, so if standing in the poison cloud a little bit longer to do the following actions won't hurt me or poison me, if Roark's healed I will take the hag's body and haul it out of the poisonous cloud and then take the magic ring and check whether she has anything interesting on her, and Resurrect Max and put the ring on his finger to heal him up further, if it's needed. If I need to go out of the poison cloud first to get a breath of fresh air and then go back in take the ring and then go to Max and Resurrect him, then I do that.
If Roark's not healed, I rush out of the the poison cloud and cast Cure Disease on him, and then try to haul the hag out of the cloud and take the ring, and if enough actions remain, Resurrect Max and heal him up with the ring if needed.

Edit2: Before putting the ring on anyone, I check whether it's cursed or evil, if it is, I warn everyone about it and don't use it. If it's not, I ask Dunward if he can ascertain whether it has charges or can be used infinitively, and then pass around the ring to those who need healing while I resurrect Max and then take the ring back and use it on Max, if needed.

(somebody should probably try looting her body, since there are enough people standing on alert)

Thank you gogtrial34987 for letting me know that the hag is dead.
Here are my new actions then.I also edited my first post ,but I will post them again here just to be safe

69 Rudy Human Ranger. I will banish my bear and then shoot arrows towards the tall hag from a good distance if she is not dead. I will wait to see if the cure disease spell will work on the werewolf. If not then I will have to shoot him. Can't risk anything. Also I will start looting anything I can from the dead orcs or hags.
