Ok I stay in the tunnel with the group that will explore the left door. I cast mirror image to be prepared for anything nasty.

I enter the cavern still levitating and I start shooting my crossbow loaded with bolts covered in a sleeping poison at the zombies.

"I'm with you guys! I don't think is a wise strategy entering in the cavern right now... sound like a suicide to me, they are so many!
I don't think is wise just running towards all of them shooting dards or to start swinging my axe without a precise plan.

Squee is scared of door but will follow the others. Squee keeps to the shadows and readies his crossbow as he enters.

** TURN 11 **

Northern main tunnel:

*rolls dice* The Elemental smashes two approaching zombies as it stomps into the cavern.

42 - Aleric - Dwarf Cleric angrily exclaims "Never trust a drow!". Wonders whether to help the Drow or not.

56 - Damon - Dwarf Warrior also waits to see what will happen.

10 - Squee - Goblin Thief rejoins the main party, warily eyeing the Drow.

65 - Grom Grombly - Half-Orc Shaman moves to the cavern entrance and casts Flame Strike on the Ettin *rolls dice* The Ettin stands still as flames envelope it, a nearby human zombie also catching light. *rolls dice* the ship around the Ettin catches fire.
*rolls dice* The giant Penguin, we shall call him BJ, looks from the water, to the ettin and back again. Zombies slowly haul buckets of water up the side of the ship and to where the fires are.

34 - Stefareth - Human Necromancer suggests taking the pirate ship from the zombies having seen the peaceful option crushed by the actions of the Drow and Grom. He also suggests perhaps taking the left passage that the Drow exited. He goes with the group in the left door.

61 - Vanathradil - Elf Mage advises against flame spells so as not to damage the ship anymore.

*BJ turns his decaying Penguin head to face the Elemental. Beams of concentrated fire shoot from his eyes *rolls dice* hitting the elemental square in the chest and blowing it apart. The zombies as one let out a slow cheer of "Arrrr!"*

65 - Grom Grombly - Half-Orc Shaman notices something a bit odd about the zombies approaching him on the shore. One to his right has the face and upper body of an elf but also the stocky lower half of a dwarf. One approaching his left, and getting very close, looks like the left half of an orc has been stitched to the right half of a gnoll.

42 - Aleric - Dwarf Cleric moves cautiously through the door to the left, he can hear a slurping sound up ahead.

61 - Vanathradil - Elf Mage casts Mirror Image upon himself and moves to the left door.

37 - OldNick - Drow Thief levitates into the cavern and fires bolts at two zombies below. *rolls dice* The bolts hit home but the sleeping poison has no effect on Zombies.

56 - Damon - Dwarf Warrior agrees to move into the left passage. 10 - Squee - Goblin Thief follows him.

21 - Danric the Exiled - Human Paladin also enters the left door.

*rolls dice* BJ grabs a halfling/goblin zombie near him and throws it at OldNick. *rolls dice* The little zombie whizzes narrowly past OldNick's head.

"Arrr... t'was a bad throw."

Northern side tunnel:

1 - Hummer - Elven Ranger shaking your head, you gradually come back to your senses. You are relieved to find that nothing has been munching on your brains while you recovered.
You get ready to sprint past the Illithid the way the Drow went. You stop as you see a third Drow stood before you.

75 - Darci - Drow Cleric smiles and then shoots Hummer at point blank range with her crossbow.

1 - Hummer - Elven Ranger you feel yourself slipping away as the sleeping poison covering the crossbow bolt takes effect.
You cry out "For the love off... not again!" and fall asleep.
Rizzleskiff dons her Cloak of Mirror Images. She continues levitating high up along the cavern walls, moving along the walls looking for an exit.

EDIT: Moving along the wall northward - or as close to north as possible.

Out of character:

Now this is weird. We know there is Illitid up ahead and we could probably save Hummer if we acted fast and stormed there like a SWAT team. On the other hand there is no way our characters know what's happening in there. What should we do?

Somebody knows some quick divination tricks, so we could see what's in there and act fast in one turn?

Fellow Drow, you cray cray.
Whatever, I'll try, I hope I won't anger DM too much.

1. I cast a spell *Summon Holy Guardian*

2. I proceed cautiously but quickly towards the room with slurping sounds.


When I reach the room from which the slurping sounds came I see one of the most macabre sights I've ever seen. There are several goblin bodies and body of a halfling, all bloodied from top to bottom. There are holes in their heads. Near the bodies I see a tentacled creature. "Illithid", I say with terror in my voice. Behind Illithid I quickly notice an elf, lying on the ground, bolt sticking from his chest. Looming above him I see a drow, crossbow in hand.

Terrified at first, I know there's no point in running now, as the illithid already noticed me. I send my Holy Guardian to attack the illithid while I target the drow with a ball of holy light.

3. I order my Holy Guardian to attack the illithid, hoping it's immune to monster's mind attacks.

4. I cast a spell *Ball of Holy Light* on 75 - Darci - Drow Cleric.

(If DM decides that's too many actions for one turn or that actions after me entering the room with slurping sounds are invalid, then I only do as many as he deems possible in that order.)
