Things turned out OK on my second attempt. Somehow, I lost the plot on my first attempt.

Could you kindly not steal his avatar? Yogsloth was at least just doing a bit of jesting, but you're completely all-out stealing. It's Sachys' copyrighted work, and yeah, while he put it on the internet, he did so because he trusts us here. Have a little respect for the man.

Short answer: yes

So it's like this:
I interpreted Sachys' final post to mean he was walking away entirely, and I felt that was unfair to people who were submitting, people who were working on submitting. (Though I wasn't happy to see him genuinely upset.) I also thought it might have a chilling effect on future artwork competitions.

Phaolo politely explained that it is more likely that Sachys merely closed the competition early. Still, I opened my damnfool mouth, and I'll offer my stated prizes on top of whatever Sachys intends, and you're welcome to submit til the original deadline.

Plus, I'm enjoying the thread, dammit.
