So in just over two weeks, it will be my birthday... again.
It will be a crap one... again (birthdays in January usually are!).
But... to make it more interesting, you're going to doodle me!
Well, I say doodle, but you can use different media if you prefer (even Lego or plasticine if thats your thing!).
People often ask about my avatar, and yes, I did it. What I usually don't mention is that its a comic character I came up with a long time ago that has been refined over time - with some influence from the utter madness this forum brings out in me. I don't really do comic or cartoon styles anymore, but like to doodle this to keep the skills alive.

What you are going to do, is recreate the attached copy of my general avatar as best you can. You can paint it, sketch it, model it, do a collage - the list of styles you can do is only limited by you! it doesnt matter how good or bad you are - the point is to have some fun!
I will even qualify tracing for this particular GA. You don't even have to do it in the sae style - I'm open to interpretations / abstacted versions, ASCII etc. The only thing you CANNOT do with it... is use the actual image directly (ie in a photomontage etc). it must be YOUR OWN WORK - from scratch!
Even the people who are "Not in!" will have to do something. Attached is a black and white version I expect them to colour in - probably in a fort made out of cushions or an old clothes horse and sheets! - to qualify their "Not in!" status. Seriously - I'm a bit sick of seeing really good GAs get a bunch of "Not ins!" - make some fucking effort!
I have also attached a vague breakdown of shapes used to build up the image in case thats of help to anyone. As time passes I'll be bumping the thread with various art tutorials from around the web that may be of interest... maybe even a video of me painting.

Prize will be either a $9.99 or two $5.99 DRM Free mini-spending sprees (depending on amount of entries - i'd like to do one randomly, and the other arbitrarily by what makes me laugh or impresses me the most.

The works you produce are your own and fall under your own copyright. The character design remains mine, so please be sensible and add an "Original character copyright Cyrus Crashtest. Used here with permission" if you decide to upload it anywhere else (like farcebook etc).
