*hugs everyone.* Not having a good sign with health issues, legs, ankles and feet are swelling. Pretty common with heart problems.

Can I offer you some dark-roast coffee (grade 4 out of 5) or is this... stuff enough? :)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Ooooooohhhh. Coffee sounds good. Thank you. =)

Also, I don't blame you. Jaheira kinda sucks, honestly. Her druid armor restriction doesn't help her out as a fighter, at all.
Sounds like you needed it :)

Yeah, and she and her companion kinda rubbed me the wrong way :) Too much complaining, and it wasn't even that funny complaining...
Found two replacements and I'm very happy with my party now.
Not sure if 'wild mage' class was available in the original or is this EE, but that is quite interesting :)

That sounds distressing. Have you gotten any help from doctors?

Not really, highly tempted to go for a 2nd opinion.
Oh my god, I just taught the most terrible class ever. The kids were so chaotic and distracted, I just could not get them to focus. I had to stop teaching at some point and stare at them in silence for ten minutes before they finally stopped talking. This was not a good experience. I really hate these moments because you realize that you're sitll quite incompetent, and you don't know what to do to solve the situation, so you just stand there going: "oh shit". Ah well, at least I didn't run out of the classroom or lose my temper completely. Although I probably gave a few kids nightmares. According to my coach I got so intimidating at one point even she was frightened. :P

Did you taser any of them? Go after them with a wiffle ball bat? If not, you did well. =)

On an ever so slightly more serious note, I'm very sorry you had to deal with that. It sounds like a big, infuriating mess.

Will echo Super's suggestion. Get a second opinion. Your body isn't doing those things for shits and giggles.

Yeah, Khalid is a wimp and Jaheira's a bit on the shrewish side. Not the best of all possible companions, personality-wise.

If you found a wild mage, that's an EE character. The original has no wild magic at all.

Left foot/ankle/leg is swelled up quite a bit worse than the right one, which is also a bit swelled. Been like this for about 3 days now.

I was kind of tempted, but I kept my cool. Well, sort of. I called them a bunch of five-year olds at one point. They were not pleased.

Thanks. I guess part of it's also got to do with the fact that my own life is kind of stressful at the moment between my thesis and my landlord not paying the bills. So my head hasn't been as organized as it usually is. :P

How are you doing?

They definitely can. I expected some chaos since it's the first day back from a holiday and the weather is great (so they didn't want to be in class at all) but this was a lot more extreme than I thought it would be.

How are you doing yourself? Are things okay at home?

If they lack the maturity to keep their mouths shut when the teacher's trying to do their job, describing them as five year olds sounds accurate.

Again with the landlord...-shakes head-
They are just an incompetent sack of shit. Truly.
Mentally deficient fuckwit...

No wonder you're so stressed.

That's what I thought too, but my coach thought it was a bit harsh. In my opinion they had it coming. :P

Yeah, one of my housemates already moved out. She decided to do so last Monday and moved out on Tuesday. It's been really weird in the house without her, I'd been living with her for two years. And now the other housemate I've been living with for the past two years has also decided to leave this July ... I'm desperately looking for a new place but no luck so far. I keep being worried the bailiff will come by and break down the door/take my stuff. Not a good thought.

Yep, I really need a holiday. :P

Ah alright, EE stuff. Maybe I should shut up about too many details, don't want to spoil anyone's fun.
Some people like to find out about that stuff by themselves, perhaps.

Darn, gotta head to work. Well, take care all!

I don't know if there's something in the air sometimes, or it's some solar activity... There are days when kids seem to be a lot more unruly and agitated... when you hear from all kinds of people that their offspring was PITA all day ;-)

At home, well... we try to manage. My wife is really down in the dumps today, mostly because of the condition of her dad. She not being able to sleep properly isn't exactly helping. I'm a little worried about tomorrow, when I have to be in the office - leaving the house at 6 am and not returning until 7:30 in the evening. Fingers crossed she doesn't suffer some kind of breakdown. Dumb thing is, if it gets bad and she calls me, it takes me approx. 3 hours to get home :-/
I've offered to cancel the office day tomorrow and work from home, but she would hear nothing of it. It's true that this would probably piss off my employer a lot, but still...

Yeah, that's what my coach said as well. Something along the lines of "you can tell by the temperature how difficult they're going to be". Sometimes I also think things like headaches are in the air or something, because everyone seems to come down with them at the same time. :P

Sorry to hear things are still so difficult. It really sucks that you have to work away so far from your home, I imagine that's not good for your own peace of mind either. Hopefully your wife will be okay and you'll manage to get through this difficult period. *big hug* And if you ever want to vent, my chat is always open.

Ho wow. Like Crow, I think I would have tasered them (and flipped tables)... or I would just have run away :-) you're very brave. Sometimes there is not much you can do in those situations, hélas... I think you did your best. Teacher is a really hard job nowadays, in my opinion [/feeling like a granny as I say that].
