ddickinson: Any opinions on the current Staff Picks promo?
Syberia was really boring :-) ... still, it was a bit charming in a way.

Sir, You Are Being Hunted is terrible.
Just really terrible.

The Swindle is great fun, if a bit hard.
You won't succeed on your first playthrough.

Well I think I will take a break from the thread for a little while. I will stick around on chat, and might pop back to the thread later, but if not I hope you will all have a lovely day.

*hugs and waves*

I have not played it yet, although I did like the look of it. It is part of my every present backlog. :-)

Have a good day, D. Hope you get to feeling better. =)

Also, if I was going to get a single game from the promo, it'd be Arcanum. (Assuming I didn't have it already, which I do.)

I think the hug was just that incredible that GOG could not cope with such a crushing victory in the hug war. :-)
Probably. A "crashing hug" so to speak ;-)

Concerning the Staff Picks:

Syberia are good (if a little slow) adventures.
The Chaos Engine is one of my favourite action games from my Amiga days - completed it countless times. I'm very biased here... ;-)
Arcanum is a very good RPG if you can look past the bleak presentation.

Don't know much about the other games.
What to play, what to play...
I have a desktop full of promising titles, this should be easy. Let's see....
I know! I'll pick the one that'll make me want to kill someone by chewing their throat out with my teeth in a kind of rage-fueled, bloodsoaked frenzy! -giggles-

You'll have to be a bit more specific than that.

Not really. It is about the converter, about simulations and control and about the prototpye and measurements ;-)

Empress_Owl: Haaaa... Wait, what ? ... you're gonna disclose information about our 'rule the world' machine to anyone ?... are you serious ?? >:-|
Nah, just sharing details from my boring work, not from your secret projects *laughing hug*
I finally fucking beat it. No sleep and my eyes won't stop twitching, but I beat it now anyway.
That is hilarious.

Which game was it. xD
Good morning, lovely people of the thread! I hope you're all enjoying your day, whatever time of day it is.

May not be too talkative this morning, can't seem to focus and wrangle in my brainstuffs, but I'll be sitting here smiling and waving while I catch up on the thread for the morning. Take care, folks!

*big hugs all around*

When in doubt, try duct tape. It truly has a million and one uses. ;)

I'm a little embarrassed that I forgot something so very simple. *duct tapes head and strolls off humming-or-maybe-talking-who's-to-really-say*

Don't feel embarrassed. =)
My first thought is always to use that when there's no rug available to be fetched.
