ddickinson: Well my gun is locked safely away on the farm, so I had no choice but to be polite. :-)

Good morning, Mr Agent!

How are you feeling today?
Well, politeness is definitely the next best thing :-)

Good morning, Kinny. I'm feeling excellent today. How could I not be on the birthday of our most badass president, Teddy Roosevelt? :-p

How about yourself?

I think I would still prefer politeness over a gun. :-)

That is great to hear. Let's hope that feeling continues all week.

I am good, today seems to be one of the better days for my health sot that is nice. Plus tomorrow I leave for my little vacation. I am a little tired though as me and my partner stayed up quite late playing Treasure Island Dizzy on the old ZX Spectrum. It is a fun game, but so hard. You die so easily and you die a lot.

*big hug*

I'm watching gameplay of Treasure Island Dizzy. It looks like a cute and fun little game, but I'm sure the music would drive me insane after about 4 minutes n__n
*hugs everyone* :)

The games used to be a lot of fun, but also quite hard. I agree about the music, but that kind of thing was common on the old 8-bit computers. I actually got the ZX Spectrum a few years after it was discontinued in the early 90s, but I liked the games on it when I was younger even though it was a little outdated by then.

I just turned the sound off, but the music stays in my head :-p
Most of the time, I don't really like hard games. I just want to enjoy a game without all that nasty dying and losing stuff. If there is a difficulty option, I usually put it on normal or easy. However, at the moment, I seem to love having my arse kicked by Volgarr The Viking... So I guess I have phases where hard is fun :-)

Good to hear. I'm doing great today. Feeling well physically and mentally, and ready to chew bulbblegum and kick ass. (I'm out of gum.) :-)

That is old game music for you :-). They were very limited with the sounds they could produce in those days. Most of the older games and gaming machines had annoying sounds.

And again, the older games were often quite hard, with no real difficulty levels. I am not sure if I found Dizzy as hard back when I was younger, and it is definitely not the hardest game ever, but it can be a challenge. The most annoying thing with older games, especially those on cassette was that you couldn't save progress for the most part, so if you have to stop playing then you often lose all your progress.
Good morning, people of the Thread !

EGG-TRAORDINARY!
Playing olden ZX games; implying to be doing so on a still working machine...

I salute you!

Also a good morning to Agent, pimp and DD.

I'll be leaving soon, just popping by to say hello.

By the way DD; panzy Eldar on my GOG? I feel a purge is incoming.

Good morning!

I know, who makes a game for those pansy Eldar. No one likes the elves. :-)

Have a good day!

(Oh, and it was me who played Dizzy, Caricaturekilb just didn't do the quote quite right.)

Edit: And hello Pimp! Sorry I missed your post.

Ugh... I do not miss being unable to save my progress. I've never finished some really old games because they can take all day to complete and can't be saved :-\
I think I didn't mind difficult games when I was younger because I had (compared to now) so few games. Now that I have so many, I am spoiled. If a game is too hard, I can just switch to one of the hundreds of easier ones instantly :-p
