gunsynd: I can see your working with something that is a bit hard to adjust,but my personal opinion for what it's worth is still too many straight lines..

adaliabooks: There's probably not too much I can do about that as it's built from polygons which are built from straight lines. It might be possible to draw the lines as curves instead of straight lines but it's probably more difficult (for me) than it's worth.
However if I do go for 3D it might be easier (depending how I do height and water I might be able to hide the lines a bit more), but I'm not sure if I'm going to go 3D or not yet.
I'll keep it in mind though and if I can find a way to break up the straight lines more I will. Thanks :)

Hope so. I found some stuff in an old folder with plans for basically an identical game that I'd planned out and then decided was too complicated to make... so on the plus side I've got some more notes and ideas, but on the down side I've been here before and stopped XD
I'm determined this time though, and going about it in a much more logical fashion (I hope).

But I am enjoying it, and as you say that's the most important thing :)

Yep I gog Grim Fandango, just as a backup since my old computer is giving me trouble and that is the one LA adventure I can't easily run on the newer system.
