All right...this game is about two fucking seconds away from me deleting it, finished or not.

New mechanics on the last level? Annoying.
Having to look online to learn what they are? Really, really, really annoying. I absolutely hate games that make me have to do that shit.
Getting bugs on the last level that make me go through walls that are supposed to be solid, screwing over my progression so I have to start over? Fuck. You. Game.

it happens to me all the time when a setup won't run

twanface: hey thanks so much...that is what it was...you are a legend...i cannot thank you enough...thanks to everyone who responded and tried helping me also
hahaha, hardly a legend, it just happens to me A LOT and i always forget to check that for the first half hour of frustration. I'm glad the little bit of computer knowledge i have was helpful! :) Enjoy your game.
I did it. Yay. And the ending sucked. Fantastic.

EndreWhiteMane: I played it a bit on my old laptop before the Boxer Dog knocked it off the table and to it's death. :-)
LOL my guy is generally pretty good... but he did get pissed off that I "left him" about two months ago, when he was eager to join me. He destroyed a library book. When I brought in the mangled copy, and my newly purchased replacement copy the librarian happened to say "Oh, did your puppy do this?" Much chagrined I had to reply "No, not a puppy." ;)

It IS funny as hell to watch him push "new stuff" whenever I put something different in a new place. It never fails - even if he doesn't see it moved, if something new ends up in a different spot, he has to push it with that squished little snout.

superstande: I'm also having hard time getting through end of game boss in 2 Worlds 2, no saves in-battle

NoNewTaleToTell: It can't be worse than the last two boss fights in the first Two Worlds, right? RIGHT?!?!
I never ended up near the end of TW 1 but I admit I did have to quit Two Worlds 2 at that boss. You, me and a ballista isn't nearly as fun as it should be. And superstande I DID warn you in another thread that the end of Two Worlds 2 was a bit of a quick bitch didn't I? ;)

And I came here to brag. I like to brew beer - my pale beers have been a ton cloudy and by the time cold clears them, they're basically gone (YOU wait two or three months to drink a huge stash of beer, THEN judge ;) ). HOWEVER I tried using gelatin on my last beer and... the first pours of this thing are coming out mighty clear. VERY excited! It's like almost commercial looking! In a hugely hoppy light as all hell brew. *pats self on back ;) *

superstande: Howdy!
Sorry, sounds really irritating!
I'm also having hard time getting through end of game boss in 2 Worlds 2, no saves in-battle. thankfully the cutscene that comes every time I load the save can be skipped :) also, seems my well-crafted melee weapon is useless in this battle, hooray! :) not even sure how to win yet...

Hmm I remember getting annoyed there too... probably the second one isn't more annoying :)
Don't want to spoil (any more) ... it's a lovely game but this last battle just seems the developers thought, "Let's think of something really hard, and no matter how the player prepares there's going to be one infernal battle." ;)

Ixa: Yes you did warn me :) and congrats for the beer creation!

CarrionCrow: I did it. Yay. And the ending sucked. Fantastic.
*applauds very loudly*
Well it's a victory none the less! Now send hate-mail to the devs and move on! (Just kidding about the hate-mail) :p

While one end game battle continues another ends, victorious! Bummer that it sucked, but may you bask in the satisfaction of another one solved! Calling it a night here myself - best all!

Good thing, not really up for sending hate mail. I'll just scream here instead. =)

And now, to decide what to play next. I should really buy more games next sale, there aren't many options right now...

Whenever I get back to Two Worlds 2, if I ever get near the ending I'm getting the feeling I should cheat myself into god mode or something haha.

I remember Hydrophobia: Prophecy's ending being really really bad. It introduced a new kinda wonky mechanic about twenty minutes (if that long) from the end, gave you next to no time and nearly zero opportunities to learn how to use it and then made that mechanic integral to beating the final boss. I REALLY wanted to like that game, I pushed all the way to the end of it despite my enthusiasm for it continuously dropping, but I couldn't force myself to fight that final boss. Infinitely spawning enemies, forced reliance on that new mechanic, zero checkpoints despite it being a multi stage battle...nope, no thanks.

That sounds like some frigging brilliant game design. Nothing says excellence like going out of your way to ruin any enjoyment someone might have playing your game.

Doing all right here. Another evening of idly wondering why the hell I'm awake in the middle of the night, but that's pretty normal for me.

Final verdict would be that your mileage may vary.

Meaning, a person might find it enjoyable despite fiddly controls in a precision-based game, or they might get to the last level, get very annoyed at having to do a very large stage in one shot since all the checkpoints are taken away, get utterly infuriated at progression-breaker bugs that make you have to restart the level (going through walls you're not supposed to be able to and being locked out of the level, specifically), then get pissed off when they get past the level, get past the bugs, and there's not even anything resembling an ending.

That last level and non-ending moved it from a "would recommend for something different and cool" to a "buy it on sale since it might drive you crazy and/or make you angry while playing it".
