I managed to dump torchlight after about a year, no luck with age of wonders yet though. :-)

LOL Torchlight - I've seen so many copies of that offered - funny thing is I only remember it being given away once. Did you ever try to play Age of Wonders? I was so excited when GoG gave that one away because, despite wanting it on release I never ended up picking it up (along with another similar sort of game called Kohan). But for the life of me I barely finished the tutorial. The tactical maps were near impossible for me to make out :( I was super disappointed and if you've ever tried to play it and have any suggestions on resolutions / config settings / patches etc I'd be all ears.

I played it a bit on my old laptop before the Boxer Dog knocked it off the table and to it's death. :-)
I'll load it up when I get a chance and try it, I really don't remember having trouble seeing stuff.

There is also the also the take on Hurt that Trent did with Peter Murphy, which has a different feel than either the original Nine Inch Nails version and the Johnny Cash version. It feels a less openly bitter and mournful, instead more gloomy and melancholy...more accepting of one's shortcomings with touches of hope in places.

Yep, cool version in my opinion. They also did a killer version of Reptile together, I want to say it's from the same session but I could be wrong.

ah, if there's torchlight in the pinata, I really don't want to try it ;) I'd have to find new users to join gog to get rid of that game :) but Redshirt... got that one... like those bizarre indie games :)

Damn it. What happens after I mention that Ronin has a nice checkpoint system that pretty much makes up for lack of manual saving?

The last level nukes that, so now I'm doing the same fight sequence, again and again and again.

Sorry, sounds really irritating!
I'm also having hard time getting through end of game boss in 2 Worlds 2, no saves in-battle. thankfully the cutscene that comes every time I load the save can be skipped :) also, seems my well-crafted melee weapon is useless in this battle, hooray! :) not even sure how to win yet...

Sounds like you've got more annoyance than I do. At least I'm not playing an RPG with bullshit at the end. That would get infuriating.

It can't be worse than the last two boss fights in the first Two Worlds, right? RIGHT?!?!
