Less than 7 minutes to decide (or not, because I've noticed there is no "next bundles in:"). So tell me about the stalker games, compared to fallout 3 how atmorpheric and inmersive are they? Do they come close or even surpass them?

The dilapidated environments, the decay, the hopelessness, the sense of lost glory and a world gone by. the sad remorseful music that meshed so perfectly with the beautifully bleak environment to paint a picture of despair.

And from what I hear Stalker achieves that as well.

I'd say it does, yes. It feels like you have been dropped in an abandoned radioactive zone. Decayed buildings and environments... A sense of despair. Sadness. All that crap.
It isn't as large as the newer Fallout games, no skills, not much dialogue with people. Mostly just you and your equipment, other stalkers, mutants, and the zone itself with all it's anomalies and dangers.

The atmosphere in STALKER is quite good. Very detailed. More realistic, I'd say... maybe more atmospheric than Fallout.

Good afternoon everyone ... the exam was a total succes, I breezed through it front to back and I could answer everything effortlessly in one go ... *sips the tea*

now on to more important issues at hand. I've downloaded all the installers from the new games, but which one to start with ... hmmm. *bites the cookie and munches thoughtfully*

We'll start with Clive's undying, I feel like playing a good shooter, that's been a while *flushes the cookie with some more tea, and starts the installer*

And how is everyone arround here doing?

That's really unfortunate, I've been having some problems too lately, but mainly with "catching up" with this thread. I never had problems in the store ...

Thank you both. The staker games really appealed to me, but they're a bit on the higher tier of what I usually spend, so it took a lot of time ruminating on wether I should or shouldn't.

In the end I decided that; Hell yeah, I should!

I also got Paper Sorcerer, on Crow's recommendation, it does have a somewhat kitsch charm to it.
