CarrionCrow: It's definitely a crappy thought, having to download everything again. Think I'm going to hold off on that part of things for a bit, see what they implement before jumping into that pain in the ass.
GhostwriterDoF: I would think we would be notified with a flag of which games have updates, and then we could choose which ones we want to update, when we want them to start, and how many we wish to download at one time? Right now, the only way to fix that is to download the updated installers again.Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them....-groans-

j0ekerr: Good afternoon hunger dogs.
Welp, the client is going into beta, I wonder if the sudden increase in client requests will rape the servers.
Anyone remember my last bout of rage with DS1 on Steam? No? Well there were problems with the online mode. The problems remain, but I've discovered a nifty little program that tells me if there are any peers in the lobby or if I'm completely alone, FOREVER.
DS has horrible netcode.
Okay let's see what have you people and other things been up to.

Could be. I already had some Gogbears today.
That's interesting. I haven't got the 500 yet but i already had the GOGbear half a dozen times...

moonshineshadow: The thing is: 1. at the moment you need to disable / enable auto-updates for every game seperatly. And normally it is enabled. If you disable it, you get a notification if updates arrive and can do them manually
2. for games to be integrated into your galaxy library, you need to either download them through galaxy or import an installed version from your pc. If you import galaxy will automatically update to make the game galaxy compatible which can be quite a huge amount of data.

I see DD was trying to tell everybody the truth about owls.
Let's see her do the same thing to Leman Russ, but with wolves.
And I also just saw the new forum feature.
Already sent a few invites.
Facebook syndrome? Are we headed towards a friends race in which someone will proudly state: "I haz moar frendz than U!"?
Yet they will be forever alone.

CarrionCrow: The problem is, myself and undoubtedly a lot of other people have downloaded game installers before Galaxy was a thing. As such, they don't have the Galaxy stuff included to make them compatible.
Right now, the only way to fix that is to download the updated installers again.Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them....-groans-
So every GoG game will have Galaxy tied into it, whether it is Multi-player oriented or not? :oRight now, the only way to fix that is to download the updated installers again.Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them....-groans-

I could have sworn I read that you could add them manually. Right now, the only way to fix that is to download the updated installers again.Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them....-groans-
Much like adding a non-steam game to the client's library.

GhostwriterDoF: By automatically update, does that mean it will function like Steam, and a download just starts when it is available (or when we enable it, by files being updated and not a separate patch file (or full installer)? Which should only update if we have a game installed, 1. at the moment you need to disable / enable auto-updates for every game seperatly.
Or if you are refering to point two, it means that if you want to add a game to gog galaxy which is already installed it needs to be made compatible and once you click on the "add game" button it will update. Nothing you can do about it.

GOG is now updating ALL of their games to be compatible. I think most are already updated.

If you don't use Galaxy, it doesn't change anything, but if you do want to use that but your installer doesn't have the aforementioned bits, you can't.

Edit: MOST of my installers are non galaxy. Just found one that was. ;)
