Well, I have to say, I got the timing entirely wrong for Galaxy hitting beta.
Whether I end up using it long-term or not, I have to respect GOG for putting in the massive amounts of time, effort and money required to build such a framework.
Time to stress test this thing. From what I've read, I can have Galaxy scan and import my folder.
If it can manage to do so right off the bat when I've got every single game of the nearly 800 I own here in desktop folders? I'll be impressed.

From what I read it is not working that well yet. Often you have to add the games manually.

Not sure if it's a thing that will be implemented, but an option to update an installed game with Galaxy while receiving a standalone update installer would be perfect.

That will HAVE to be implemented if I'm to use it.

I'm in beta now, not much difference other than social stuff. ;/

And yes, nothing much changed besides the friends / chat stuff.

Edit: That appears to do a standard download, when you install it also does a download.
That's a messy way to do it, looks like you'd have to download and then import. YuckI
May very well be doing it wrong, I made a mistake once, could always be a second one. :-)
