Well....there's my galaxy beta :)

Settings are a bit lackluster atm...

at the moment only the friends thingy is new, isn't?
Yep, as far as I read only friends thing is new, other features will be added whenever they are ready.

Hello. For me, only a generic white error screen shows up from time to time.
Well, I have to say, I got the timing entirely wrong for Galaxy hitting beta.

Whether I end up using it long-term or not, I have to respect GOG for putting in the massive amounts of time, effort and money required to build such a framework.

Time to stress test this thing. From what I've read, I can have Galaxy scan and import my folder.
If it can manage to do so right off the bat when I've got every single game of the nearly 800 I own here in desktop folders? I'll be impressed.

In that case i'd prefer Theodore rather than a generic white screen...

From what I read it is not working that well yet. Often you have to add the games manually.

-laughs- That's why I said I'd be impressed if it works smoothly so soon.

Not sure if it's a thing that will be implemented, but an option to update an installed game with Galaxy while receiving a standalone update installer would be perfect.

Don't expect too much, you're going to do a LOT of downloading.

Morning everyone. ;)

*welcome hug* Your beta client should be available now, since you were in the alpha :P

As near as I can see you can't download stand-alones at all yet.
That will HAVE to be implemented if I'm to use it.

You can do that. YOu need to click on this drop down menu for games and click "Download Extras" or something, after that you can choose to download a standalone installer.

And yes, nothing much changed besides the friends / chat stuff.

Ah, I thought 'extras' meant manuals and stuff. Thanks.

Edit: That appears to do a standard download, when you install it also does a download.
That's a messy way to do it, looks like you'd have to download and then import. YuckI
May very well be doing it wrong, I made a mistake once, could always be a second one. :-)
