CarrionCrow: No need for forgiveness, you're working very, very hard, it's completely understandable.

GOG just put out a game called Transistor a bit ago. Now deciding whether I want it now, potentially derailing anything I'm playing now, or waiting until later when I might have less games that are being played simultaneously.

That's very kind of them. Certainly don't want some kind of damage that will hinder your ability to enjoy yourself. =)
I see, I do not always check the front page, so I sometimes miss new games. Could you not buy it now and play it later, or would the temptation be too much? Does the DLC for the soundtrack appeal to you, or are you not too bothered with those kind of things?

My brothers are often looking out for me and helping each other with covering the workload when one of us has something special planned. I am spending most of the day doing paperwork and some less physical tasks, but I will still be working quite late, as there are not enough hands to cover my work fully and I would not expect them to do too much for me, especially as they have their regular share of the work as well.

ElTerprise: Hello *big hug* :)
Doing good, how are you?
Hello!

Sorry, I did not get a notification for your message.

I am glad to hear you are doing good today. Anything nice planned?

I am doing good, thank you. Lots of work, but looking forward to my weekend away.

CarrionCrow: With me, the big problem tends to be grammar more than spelling. I'll worry about spelling everything correctly, then mess up past and present tense, things like that.
So it's true then what they tell us about americans. They can't even use their own language correctly :P
(But i can understand that - knowing that i also mess up german grammar and tenses sometimes - especially future perfect^^)

No problem. Notification doesn't always work for me too.

Nothing unusual planned. I'll be having sports in the evening like every thursday.

Glad to hear you're doing good :).

I'd probably end up alternating. I've been using my ragged memory of Icewind Dale stuff to give BillyMaysFan info when he has a question, but I know it's only a matter of time before my brain craps out.
So I've been using that as a way to push myself back into playing it to refresh my memory, rather than staring at my wishlist or waiting for another sale.

If the music's really good in general, I'll pick it up as a second purchase later on. Doesn't happen often since music loops tend to make me tired of listening to it before the game ends, but it happens sometimes.

It's really cool that you all look out for each other like that. Always good to have a strong family for support.

If anything, that's a generous statement. A lot of Americans freely mangle the language, hang around other people who also mangle the language, and no one even pretends to give a shit about the fact that it makes them sound like brain-damaged idiots.

It's that bad? Can't tell as i haven't been to the US and have never spoken (face to face) to one before...

On another note. I'm glad Transistor is here but i stll don't know if i should get it immediately...

And Fallout went missing again... without me buying anything...

The Americans don't have a language of their own, they just stole ours and then butchered it and stuck a "Made in the USA" sticker on it. ;-)

(^ that was a joke, in case anything reading takes it personally.)

I do not think the farm would be able to run if we did not all get along. It has been a family farm for a long time (a very long time), and my family has always been very close and supportive of each other. Plus, I am the youngest and have three older brothers, so they have the whole little sister protective thing going on and they are always happy to help me out, just as I am to help them when they need me.

It can vary a bit, but when you're with certain groups of people, it becomes apparent very quickly that they're kind of stupid. The language mutilation is a red flag in that regard, and other red flags typically show up shortly after.

Yeah. But they stole a slightly older version of your if i'm not mistaken? I think they told in school that British English is the more modern one :).

Other red flags? Now i'm excited ;).

I guess in some way, the language has evolved a little, but not too much, especially when compared to the earlier stages of the English Language.

I have never quite understood when people say British English. When people say French they think of France, they do not say France French. Surly English spoken in England should be by default just called English, with all the others having a prefix to the region, such as American-English, Australian-English, and so on.

I don't know - but English was usually referred to as British English in school....
But then as you said something like German German is also not used (it sounds riddiculous) it's just German in contrast to Austrian German and Swiss (standard) German...so you're it doesn't make any sense to call in British English as all other varieties evolved from it :).

If your family didn't, I'm figuring it would be a huge mess until the combined tension and stress of working hard all the time caused someone to have a total meltdown.

It's good to see that kind of supportiveness. It's also an interesting perspective shift, since I'm kinda waiting, either with malice or without, for anyone who calls me a sibling to die. -laughs-

Your are right, it does not make sense at all. For me when saying English, I mean the British English. The only time I think of it as British English is when setting the language at word documents :P

Those other red flags tend to be open displays of racism, homophobia, and/or deranged zealotry.
You're not missing anything, trust me.

I know where the term comes from, it's those damn Americans! :-)

They like to refer to their English as the default English, and thus British-English started to be used. A bit like how they decided to call football soccer and try to influence the world to do the same. I am not sure why they decided to use the term football for their sport, when football had been around for hundreds of years already by the time American-Football came along. Another example is the Jack Russell, which is an English breed of dog. I remember reading that the American Jack Russell society wants to get a law passed to have the term Jack Russell refer to the American Jack Russell, and again make the English (and the original) Jack Russell be refereed to as the British/English-Jack Russell, instead of the current American-Jack Russell.
